Min Sik Kim, The Clerk:
Jakeel Mason, The (dead) Perp:
From
another article:
"Mason had a criminal history prior to Fridays incident, records show. He pleaded guilty to unlawful imprisonment in 2014 for picking up a 6-year-old girl outside her Parkland house. The girl kicked and screamed and was able to escape. Mason was sentenced to 90 days in jail."
6 yr old who got away from him in 2014

“Kim says the confrontation unfolded when one of the suspects, who had been shoplifting and harassing customers, went to the cash register. Kim says he pulled out a gun, and at first it looked like the man would surrender. Instead he knocked Kim to the ground and grabbed for his gun, Kim said.
“It was going to be either me or him, and I don’t want to leave my family behind,” Kim said. So he pulled the trigger, killing the suspect, who stumbled and fell in the doorway, Kim said.”

I used to live in Spanaway, and know this store (and owners). Great people, my prayers are with them.
(So glad to be out of Pierce County!!)

Seattle? Where?
He did us all a huge FAVOR.
They’re just raking him over the coals needlessly.

> I used to live in Spanaway
First time I have ever heard of a place called Spanaway.
Would it be too much to ask what state this happened in?
It is not mentioned so far.

Sounds like your typical DA and Judge pair that many of us have had to survive. I’d do it again and face a jury of my peers if it did not get cleaned up after the crooked DA and Judge(s) had their faces shoved into the facts of the defensive shooting.
There are some really stupid and evil officials in charge of things way over their heads. Stupid candidates + stupid voters == stupid results every time.

“Why is this guy charged in this case?”
Because Democrats run Washington state, that’s why.

I suspect perhaps the DA (based on Mason being out of jail) is a #PedophileLivesMatter advocate.

An article in the Tacoma News Tribune had this explanation:
After reviewing the evidence, it appears that the victim was never a threat, sheriffs spokesman Ed Troyer said. He was leaving the store when he was shot twice in the back and there was a clear distance between them.
Sounds like the sheriff's department is second-guessing this poor man's fear for his life. Kim should get a medal.
