Rubio, Cruz, Kasich All Backed Obamatrade, Pretend They Didn’t at Miami Debate
Breitbart ^ | 3/10/16 | Julie Hahn

At Thursday night’s Republican debate, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), John Kasich, and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) all parroted talking points about trade that do not seem to match their prior legislative records and statements on the critical issue.

While Donald Trump has articulated his vociferous opposition to President Barack Obama’s trade agenda in practically every GOP debate, tonight marked the first debate in which all of the other candidates were asked about their previous support for trade globalism. Breitbart News reported extensively on debate moderators’ prior failure to cover the issue in previous debates.

According to Pew polling data, by a nearly five-to-one margin Republican voters believe these so-called free trade deals lower wages rather than raise them.

However, Kasich has similarly been a supporter of Obama’s trade agenda, which economists say could have a significant impact on the nation’s manufacturing core. According to analysis from the Economic Policy Institute, in 2015 Kasich’s home state of Ohio lost 112,500 jobs due to the nation’s trade deficit with TPP countries.

I noticed all three seemed to be moving their positions more inline with Trump’s. But, really they should...

Ted was for TPP before he voted against it. Sound like John Kerry.

earlier: additional: BTW, I'm a full-tilt supporter of free trade, that is, 100% free trade. To rip off George Bernard Shaw, free trade might be a wonderful thing if anyone would ever try it. So far, bupkis.

Globalist sock puppets going to always back strip mining America and liquidating our work force. Then they come out and claim, hey, it will work, trust us, we just need to keep doing more of it.

Whenever people say that what they like is that Trump is an outsider, it always reminds me of the picture below. There is a reason you don't want a "pure" outsider:

His ideas would only work in a movie. In the real world, they are ridiculous, as is his style and the content of his words.

Fact is, when he first announced, I loved it. He was bringing up the stuff that politicians are afraid to say, because the press hammers them, unreasonably, from their own bully pulpit.

But it became his schtick and we all loved it when he won against the press. He’s like a super-Rush Limbaugh.

But does that make him good presidential material? At first I thought it might. But the fact is that as time passed, I realized that his rhetoric and style could cause WWIII. That was first a passing thought. It is a genuine concern at this point.

And as time passes, I notice myself watching and reading his supporters and noticed that, although he does not remind me of Hitler, his followers DO remind me of Hitler’s followers in the early days. Their style resembles, more and more, the style of the Brownshirts. We’ll see if it continues to get worse. I’m watching with that particular lens.
