"Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.

The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he "cannot support Donald Trump."

I still think they’re going to have Trump hit, and make it look like a Tea Party “wet work” job. He’s wearing body armor, and is receiving dangerous levels of threats, according to TRN:

Cruz is a NWO Globalist & Free Mason secret society member. And BTW, he was never a US citizen. Canadian law prohibited dual citizenship at the time Cruz was born in 1970. His parents had to choose one for him & they chose Canadian. By denouncing his Canadian citizenship it seems to me he became a US Senator without a country.

So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

I guess that $60,000 in donations didn't buy any loyalty from McConnell.

When has a sitting senator called the majority leader a liar on the senate floor with no censure? Why wasn’t Cruz punished?

Who was the VP of the NSRC that approved the $250,000 campaign contribution to defeat Bevin? Cruz.

Ted’s “outsider” performance has always been just that. Acting.

His donations to Cruz and Paul didn’t come up jackpot either.

It’s so incredibly obvious they fear that an outsider will uncover the complete scam that is the modern federal government. I think they’re afraid of both Cruz and Trump, but they know Trump would put the hammer down.

What a bunch of conspiratorial a-holes. There’s only one equitable and ethical way to stop Donald Trump and that is on the open field of battle, fair and square. On fact, when the smoke settles from Florida we will have a brand new dynamic.

This is just WRONG.

2 sitting elected officials plotting to take out the Front Runner how they made sign a pledge to support the nominee, NO WAY is this acceptable on any level

Attendees:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wi)

Trump has reached out to Paul Ryan is set to meet with him. Trump better have his microphone on and not believe a word out of Ryan's mouth. Hope Trump is prepared for their meeting because he will be meeting with someone who wants him defeated.

I don’t think so. People are against Trump because he is dishonest, liberal and immoral. He’s a horrible person.

So why shouldn’t people try to prevent his nomination before it’s too late.

This is all coming up now because there is still time to defeat this bozo.

I don’t think they spend one minute worrying about Cruz.

In fact, I believe a deal was made just prior to the February 24th debate. Why? Super Pac funding against Cruz stopped.

Here is the Trump opposition spending

I am a big believer in following the money.

This could be too much to overcome for Trump I fear.

“2 sitting elected officials plotting to take out the Front Runner”

And no doubt we paid to fly them out there, plus security.

You have just described at least half of the GOPe.

I don’t think that’s it, do you?

Do you think Mitch Mcconnell is in love with conservatives and against liberals?

You saw the Omnibus get passed, right?

Try to be objective.

Can the people here who despise Trump at least open one eye for 10 seconds and look at what’s happening?? If Trump is such a liberal who is simply telling us what we want to hear so he can win, why is he being so vilified?
