I am trying to see the downside of this since consequences for bad behavior are usually bad.

Well most treatment will get paid for by the taxpayers (via medicaid or Obamacare subsidies) so it's costing us a lot of dough.

Yeah, but probably short lived.
HIV is currently treatable. Without treatment the HIV+ person will likely die after a few years (how things were in the 1980’s).
But the treatment is expensive.
How much of “ObamaCare”, with its provision for pre-existing conditions, was designed and pushed through primarily in order to save the gay community from extinction?
Bad news for the taxpayer, who will be expected to foot the medical bills stemming from their “lifestyle choices.”
I don’t mind gays doing whatever perverted sex acts they want to do with each other, but I don’t want to pay for it. I’d be happy to make a deal with them; I’ll stay out of their bedrooms if they stay out of my wallet.
But that’s not the agenda. The whole point of “celebrating” their perversions is to make us pay for them.
I don’t think they “get” HIV/AIDS. I think they “attain” it (recalling Magic Johnson on the topic).
The same CDC that spent the later part of the 80s, all the 90s, in fact up untul now saying AIDS was not a homosexual disease.

The “loving” response is to celebrate gay lifestyle choices. The “hateful” response is to encourage men who are attracted to men to make informed choices about their behavior, based on both science and the Bible. It would be “racist” to discourage black men from engaging in an activity that has a 50% chance of killing them while they are you.
I miss the days when words like “loving”, “hateful”, and “racist” had their real meanings, back before the intolerant left started twisting every word they could redefine.
My wife and I took an Aids vaccine that they offer down at our church.
Which is why they want us to pay for everybody’s medical bills by taxing us.
