Rush: If Conservatism Is Your Only Priority, There Is No Choice Other Than Ted Cruz
The Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | 2/10/16 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 02/10/2016 2:17:21 PM PST by TBBT

If conservatism is your bag, if conservatism is the dominating factor in how you vote, there is no other choice for you in this campaign than Ted Cruz, because you are exactly right: This is the closest in our lifetimes we have ever been to Ronald Reagan.

***snip***

But for those of you that conservatism's the answer and conservatism is the way, you have no choice here. Ted Cruz has got to be your guy. There's nobody even close. Nobody.

“Trump’s considering Cruz for VP, so I guess Trump isn’t worried about Cruz’ eligibility anymore.”

The only people who are still into this are the dead ender trolls.

...and if conservatism isn’t the answer, it was a stupid question.

I don’t really know what that meant. However, if conservatism is not fundamentally correct, then we might as well start redistributing wealth and culturally evolve. If private property, government restraint, state’s rights, self-defense, and religious liberty are negotiable in the least, then they’re also expendable. It means our conservatism is a personal preference not a recognition of reality. Our preferences have no more validity than Bernie Sanders’.

The founders were not much interested in personal preferences, they based their argument, rebellion, and founding on ‘self evident’ truths.

In a perfect world Ted Cruz is the best of the lot. But this ain’t no perfect world. The democrats would paint him as such a televangelist right wing extremist that we would have President Hillary Clinton. Trump may not be perfect but give him a chance and we’ll be on the road to greatness again.

Ted Cruz has flip-flopped on immigration specifically on birthright citizenship and his little stunt on the Gang of 8 bill.

I simply don't trust him on immigration.

He’s unelectable. So there’s the rub.

Bernie Sanders pulled in 150,000 votes.

Democrats will vote for the soft shoe Kasich before Cruz.

Hey, Rush> YOur show sucks wet dog fur...lately.

How many people who view Cruz and the “only” conservative would even consider a Trump/Cruz ticket?

Well Danny, there’s a great case to be made for returning to a gold standard and answers for the common regurgitations regarding recessions and deflation but apparently you believe debasing our currency with free floating values that can be manipulated by central planners is beyond critcism. He voted against TPA and pledged to oppose TPP.

Trump is a nationalist and Cruz is a squish on immigration, TPA, TPP, Corker amendment. Trump has promised me a wall. So what great thing is a Cruz Presidency going to do for me? Lower marginal rates? Trump is for that. Is Cruz going to rescind all EO’s? Trump is going to to that too. So what does Cruz give me as President? Only more of the same, the same heartburn having to watch him like a hawk so he does not sell out to International globullist K St. cartel.

Take it to court and prove it.

If the courts are consistent, Yashcheritsiy would be ruled to have no standing in the case. As the Senate Pro Tem, Dick Cheney could have received any objection from any Congresscritter as the election results were offered before either of BHO's two inaugurations, he also could have raised an objection himself. He didn't, and the rest is history.

If Cruz should win the general election, Biden, however, as the sitting Senate Pro Tem in January, 2017, would surely hear a clamoring set of objections from the Dems about Cruz' eligibility. He would rule Cruz ineligible, which he at that time will have the right to do. He would then declare Cruz ineligible and name the 2nd highest electoral-getter the winner. Victory Democrats!

cruz is for amnesty, after that nothing else matters. But you are wrong in all of your assertions.

The only way I vote for Trump is if Cruz is on his ticket. If Trump wins the nomination, and chooses a nobody, or an establishment VP, he will be losing a lot of votes.

Votes he needs to win.

I’m interested in the person who can do the most to forward a nationalist-conservative agenda. At this point, I believe that’s Donald Trump.

Electability and charm matter. Teddy has neither.

And gop-e water carriers like el rushbo bore me. He jumped the shark in 08. Breaking news this ain’t.

If you blocked all Muslims, what about perfectly peaceful Muslims from the UK?

Or peaceful Muslims from India?

Additionally, how enforceable is that?

If I knew they were blocking Muslims, and I wanted to do harm, wouldn’t I just say, “Oh no, I’m an atheist.”

At least with a country, they have to get a different passport... still not completely foolproof, but definitely more difficult than just lying about your religion...

Trump’s plan to stop a particular religion is ridiculous, as are almost all things he proposes, just empty platitudes which have ZERO substance nor contain true solutions.

Conservative means something. It doesn’t just mean whatever you or anyone else want it to mean. Because it means something, you can’t be a conservative and still vote for Trump. Those things are mutually exclusive.

I’m sure glad Rush came along today to tell all of you what to think and how to vote.

If the butthurt is this strong here today, I can’t wait to see it after SC.

Rush left open the Trump Option which is:

If defeating the Uniparty is your highest priority, then either Trump or Cruz are fine.

OR

If defeating Hillary is your highest priority, then you may correctly feel that Trump has the best chance of doing that.

thanks for the full info. If he said that, and at the end stated he’s not endorsing anyone and its up to you ok.

If he spends more time dissing one over the other then its no more than our politicians do try to have it all ways

Not very "conservative" to fund your Senate campaign using margin loans.

Why not? It's just a loan against his own assets.
