Bingo. You get how critical this is.
The timing is amazing.

Wednesday the Senate refused stringent refugee screening measures to ensure any immigrants from ISIS countries were completely vetted.

Thursday night, 24 hours later, the republican senate leader promotes a war powers act that’s so undefined, that even democrats are voicing concern about its future repercussion.

This is a huge bad deal.

Not for you, but for those who didn't track the development of war crimes courts a decade ago:

Sorry about the alien characters in the post. I tried the smart quote cleanup link found in our FR Html Sandbox.
It didn’t fix the messy content.
Here’s the direct link to the story:

Really, NO President should have this power... my God given right to dissent is protected in the constitution, HOWEVER, Mr. Trump particularly has shown a propensity for using the government/legal system on the matters of silencing the opposition, or more particularly, those which dissent with his positions:

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/09/donald-trump-club-for-growth-cease-desist-letter-213936

Given his stellar record of understanding Constitutional principles, who is to say he will not abuse Senator McConnell’s proposed act?

Crucially important post relating the very dangerous executive branch over reach of power.
Thanks for providing this to us!

The Act does not apply to the Army and Air National Guard under state authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within its home state or in an adjacent state if invited by that state’s governor.

The Posse Comitatus Act is no barrier to federal troops providing logistical support during natural disasters. Nor does it prohibit the president from using the Army to restore order in extraordinary circumstances - even over the objection of a state governor. What it does is set a high bar for the use of federal troops in a policing role.

“You do realize that it is Congress’s role to enact a specific war power authorization?”

Last time I checked, Senator Mitch McConnell was still a member of Congress. And he proposes to bring the issue before Congress.

The rest of your post is typical conspiratorial lunacy - hence my reference to “tinfoil hat.”

Let me guess - you’re a Libertarian Paul-bot

You really Do get the importance of this.
Every active duty and reserve military personnel, and every citizen who give a damn about the future of our country should be up in arms about this.
Not much in the media about this.
Likely and ironically the left will express more alarm about this than the right.
It’s a show stopper.

Your post is foolish, and thanks to your normalcy bias apathy, our country is in ruin.
Right before your very eyes.

Answer this for our FR community of constitutional conservatives:

Are you comfortable with the current president and those that follow, having standing war power authorization that purposely does not define geographic conflict area or time limitation for deploying military force?
Is this “ISIS” War Powers Act that Mitch McConnell and GOP republicans are advocating, good for the well being of our nation, citizens and military?

If so, please explain in detail why.

Watch out for this ... " The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it."

The privilege was suspended during the Civil War, by presidential edict, with that suspension being found unconstitutional by SCOTUS in ex parte Merryman. Congress passed an act effectively cutting off any remedy for those who were denied due process.

If Congress suspends the Writ, you can bet whoever is president will run with it, and Courts are apt to allow it (See Germany, WWII, etc.) - so the meaning of "public safety may require it" will never be tested.

Heavy stuff, really heavy stuff.

Neither Republicans nor Democrats knew the majority leader planned to set up a debate on authorizing the use of force against the Islamic State.

This isn't an authorization for use of force against ISIS. It is an authorization for use of force against the American people. McConnell is a traitor.
