Really, NO President should have this power... my God given right to dissent is protected in the constitution, HOWEVER, Mr. Trump particularly has shown a propensity for using the government/legal system on the matters of silencing the opposition, or more particularly, those which dissent with his positions:

A Cease and Desist Letter? Are you kidding me? DO you remember the jerk from CLub for Growth trying to shake down Trump for a million dollar “donation” and when Trump refused to pay, the Club For Growth started doing the nasty? Then Trump’s lawyers sent a Cease and Desist and the nasties stopped...It was only this summer. Didn’t you see the original letter posted here from the Club For Growth demanding a million bucks? Did you read the cease and desist?
