When it comes to voting, Donald Trump must be hoping Americans will do as he says, and not as he does.
Records reviewed by National Review show that the mogul-turned-candidate never bothered to cast his vote in the past six presidential-primary elections — even in 2000, 2004, and 2012, years when he floated the idea of running for the Oval Office.
Even as Trump filled candidates’ coffers, he skipped the 2002 general election, failing to cast a vote for U.S. representative and governor, among other positions. He’s also sat out several city and state elections in the past 15 years, while donating heavily to candidates in the same races. In some of these elections, it appears Trump’s ever-changing party registration rendered him ineligible to cast a primary ballot. But in many others, he could have voted but didn’t.
Trump could not be reached, and his spokesperson had not responded to a request for comment by deadline.
Perhaps Trump prefers check-writing to ballot-casting. Over the past 15 years, he has donated more to Democratic candidates, including Friends of Hillary Clinton in 2002, than he’s given to Republicans.

Dive, poll numbers, dive!
WARNING - if ya got The Tee Dee Ess, DON'T click on the pic. Yer head might explode. That is all.
Sigh. You can’t win among Cruzers. If you vote for a lib for Governor, you’re a lousy commie. You don’t vote for one and you’re still a commie.
There really wasn’t anyone worth voting for in those elections. He didn’t like the Bushes, he did support McCain and Romney financially, however.
So what, nether have I. The nominee is always decided before we get to my stste.
Besides, haven’t been any GOP candidates worth my time.
I bet justlittleoleyou votes EVERY time. LOL
“But I’m smart. Really smart. My wife - you know her. A beauty. Very, very beautiful. Not a loser. I would never marry a loser - she says I am the smartest, greatest man she has ever met. Smart, very very smart. And great. I am really great. I don’t vote in primaries, because I never vote for losers - only winners, like me. I am great. I may vote in this primary though, because I can vote for a winner, like me. I’m Trump. I will vote this time.
Neither have I.
Is this a Glenn Beck spoof?
So! It is apparent that a lot of people haven’t voted in the several general elections.
Blame it on Iowa, New Hampshire and other early voting states. By the time the primaries get to most states, the nominee is pretty much a done deal.
SO? Deport him?
The beauty of America is you can jump on the stage..
And be a hit.
Or a bust.
Maybe if some other politicos hadn’t been weasels..
WE wouldn’t have to go thru this exercise in “civil disobedience”.
:)
Simply an opportunist and wants to be Prez.. Trump is assuming the party to be in this election cycle is Republican, so he jumps onboard, if it was reversed he would run as a Democrat. Actually, and I mean this, I think he must get his talking points from FreeRepublic to find out what conservatives are thinking.
This constant spamming of this board with anti-Trump diatribes is not healthy.
But look at all the pro-life charities he gave his money to.
Hey you know... he wasn’t running so there was no one deserving his vote.... :)
