Better make a note to give this guy the Hitler salute if I ever see him in public.

Just yesterday, I saw Trey Gowdy’s latest hearing about this.
He was grilling that DHS lady good.

This should make it to the courts pretty quick. With the resources the NRA has I think this will get “shot down”.

So how is Malloy not committing a felony by doing that?

Point is, this is unconstitutional. As long as the person is a citizen. Shall not be infringed means exactly what it means.

Exactly. WTH happened to due process... the right of the accused to a speedy trial... the right to face his/her accusers...

I know.. Constitutional stuff, so anachronistic.

“Terror Watch List” =

White male NRA members.

Ex White male USMC and US Army.

Any White male associated with Tea Party groups and other “right wing” organizations as determined by the DHS.

Achtung Baby!!

Idiocy. I would also think that these lists are considered classified and that they cannot legally be disseminated to state hacks.

A non starter, but hey, people are so ignorant about the U.S. Constitution, they’ll think it’s a wonderful idea that will keep them safe and secure.

Perhaps the Governor would feel better if he just made sure all those on the list were required to wear and Identifier.

This is a civil right.

A civil right taken with no crime and no accusation and no proof.

How about we now license reporters who only favor the king.

If state officials are granted access to federal government watch lists-- including the no-fly list-- Malloy said he will enact the proposal immediately through executive order, denying people on those lists a gun permit.

I'll be very curious to see if the government hands over their secret lists to Connecticut officials.

Local Connecticut opinion polls show that people are solidly against this. Even in deep blue Connecticut.

Local legal experts are also solidly against this. They note that there are no avenues to challenge being placed on the list.

The result is that avenues will be opened to challenge one’s placement on a terror list. Which will ultimately weaken the watch lists through discrimination challenges.

Maybe they are against it because a “government watch list” does not meet due-process, and equal protection standards of the law and US Constitution.

As far as I am concerned, a “government watch list” can mean anything to any arm of government, even political. It smells to high heaven.

It often feels like these are daily, yet life-changing, tragedies. Yet, so many elected officials sit idly by.
