Billionaire businessman Donald Trump extended his lead in the first prominent post-debate poll released by NBC News Sunday.

Post debate NBC poll: Trump 29% Carson 14% Carly 11% Jeb 8% Cruz 7% Rubio 7% Rand 3% Christie 3% Walker 3% Kasich 2% http://t.co/PywxlCgGfk

Trump was also viewed as “most presidential” among the GOP candidates. NBC News reported:

More than a third of Republican voters say that Carly Fiorina performed best in the Wednesday night debate on CNN. But debate performances don’t translate into vote preference overnight, and Donald Trump maintains his position at the top of the Republican pack, according to the latest NBC News online survey conducted by SurveyMonkey from Wednesday through Friday.

When the candidates’ negative performance percentages are subtracted from their positive percentages, Fiorina emerges the clear winner, with a positive 34, whereas Trump nets a positive 2 among Republican voters who watched or followed the debate coverage. Marco Rubio and Ben Carson also received positive reviews from Republican voters who followed the debate, with net scores of 8 and 5. Rand Paul fared poorly, scoring a negative 13.

Rand Paul fared poorly, scoring a negative 13.

Trump told him he didn't belong on the stage.

The Donald-Gentle Ben-iCarly combined popularity STILL adds up to more than 50% of the total.

Which meant that the other 13 (14?) shared in part of some 46% of the polling.

Reince Priebus, are you listening? Hello, anybody home?

That’s all I’ve been hearing since June from the lamestream media. That Trump has peaked. That Trump is about to crater and soon the American people will come to their senses and come around to the lovable Jebbie Bush.

Trump needs to hire a foreign policy expert (like say Donald Rumsfeld - 2 Donalds are better than 1!) and get personal tutoring on names, plans, policies, etc so that in the next debate he has more SPECIFIC statements re our foreign policy. THen he needs to put up specifics on how he will build a fence (ie: hire PRIVATE COMPANIES in each border state and employ x amount of workers and pay them OT pay to get the fence built within a real short space of time). If Trump means business, he will DO HIS HOMEWORK to be prepared for specific questions from those who mean him harm....

One thing - I agree totally with - Trump DOES look the most presidential of any of the candidates. Looks do matter (Carly). LOL

I agree. He isn’t a debater, and probably could use some coaching in this area as well. He does need to get up to speed on foreign policy. However, I disagree with putting out specifics on how he is going to get Mexico to pay for the wall - you never want to tip your hand to the opposition. The money could just as easily come from their foreign aid package - that’s one way.

“Trump DOES look the most presidential”

It’s been mentioned here before, but he has the stern Churchill look and demeanor.
