Kasich has built a strong foundation in New Hampshire. A super political action committee, or super PAC, has spent millions of dollars to promote him on television there. And he visits frequently. Kasich held several town hall-style forums there last week and will return Monday for a two-day swing that includes a Labor Day parade and house party hosted by former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown.
When NBC News/Marist last checked in on New Hampshire, Kasich had climbed to fourth, behind Trump, Bush and Walker. Since then other polls have shown him surpassing Bush, who is about to hit the state's airwaves with a $500,000 ad buy.

Who watches TV anymore? Haven’t had one of those for almost 4 years. For that matter, I haven’t had a land line phone for probably 10 years.

All of these "old" people watch tv and will voting...

There's waaaay too much attention on these early polls. Throw in the margin for error and you could throw a handkerchief over the whole field. And in two weeks, it will all be upside down.
I feel like we're being played. Trump is ratings gold, so we hear these polls all the time.

Kasich is an insider who can not win in the south but can win in the Northeast, parts of Midwest and the West. Hopefully he washes out before it reaches that point. He is no more conservative than Trump absent the strong stand against illegals Trump has taken.

Haven’t had a TV in my home for over 25 years. It’s a waste of time, as is Kasich. Now I waste time on FR.:)

Instead of worrying about who's up/down in a race they'll be dropping out of by February, why aren't we doing something about Planned Parenthood, unconstitutional acts by the POTUS, The IRS, and the other crimes that are being perpetrated on us right now? Instead, those stories fade away while we spend all our time worrying about what phony is going to be the nominee 14 months from now.

Kasich is number 2!...oh, never mind, New Hampshire.
Every mainstream news story about the republicans is angled to chip away at and displace Trump. ‘Kasich is number 2’, ‘ Republicans about to embark on fall romance with Ben Carson...’ all aimed at shaping perception, some in subtle ways others in aggressive ways. I hope they exhaust themselves trying to do it.

Could this be the end of Trump?
The establishment certainly hopes so.
