FORT WORTH Presidential contender Ted Cruz came home Thursday, telling more than 2,000 supporters at the Fort Worth Stockyards that he was the consistent conservative needed to move America forward.
All across this country, Americans are waking up. And let me tell you, help is on the way, the Republican senator said as boisterous supporters waved the Cruz campaign fans given to them to help beat the outdoor heat.
Since he was elected in 2012, Cruz has become the most popular Republican in Texas and the face of the states tea party movement.
He wants to expand his following nationwide in hopes that a hard-right conservative can win the GOP nomination, fire up the base and claim the White House.
For about 30 minutes, Cruz thrilled the home-state crowd with promises to repeal the Affordable Care Act, reverse President Barack Obamas pending Iran nuclear agreement, rebuild the military and abolish the IRS.
Cruz said that if hes elected, the IRS would become unnecessary because he would develop a simple flat tax for all Americans. Then he joked about what to do with the 90,000 IRS employees left without an agency.
We need to padlock that building and take all 90,000 and put them on our southern border, he said.
Cruz also promised to end the practice of allowing cities to provide sanctuary to people in the U.S. illegally, and he said he would strip all federal funding to Planned Parenthood.
When I tell you Im going to do something, Im going to do exactly what I say Im going to do, Cruz said.

HOORAY Cruz
Get rid of the Federal Reserve, return America to a hard, free-market currency out of the reach of political and government manipulation - and everything belonging to the nanny state will immediately die a natural death.
God bless Texas. God bless Ted Cruz.
90,000 IRS agents building a wall...
Now that's an idea I can get behind!
As long as they are in prison jumpsuits!
We are supposed to have 2 Senators but I don’t know when the last time old Cornyn peeked out of DC and made a peep
The other Senator is Cornyn, I think, he’s been quiet for a long, long, long time
lol
I’m not talking about the people there buy, my grandparents ,from both sides, lived just up the hill from there. When I was a kid ranchers still took livestock to the stockyards. There was also a smell there for years after the stockyard closed.
Trump is going to Texas soon, I just wonder how that will work out? I hope Trump and Cruz have something worked out where they will not bash each other.
I gotta ask a really stupid question, but that little flame logo. Why do I think I’ve seen that somewhere, on something Middle East Arab, and not very cool??
It’s driving me crazy. I don’t like the look of it on that account and have just noticed it as the Cruz logo in the last few days. Like last 48 hours.
It is floating out there and the origin isn’t American, but can’t put my finger on it.
Look jerk, I’m not the only one who has noticed the damn logo. Buck up, if you hope to have a prayer of representing Cruz in the manner he deserves.
That would be one aside to your crayon drawings serving obviously in place of your intellect.
Sorry I ever asked. It won’t happen again.
Don’t care what you like or want.
I’d back him just on the “no IRS” stance alone.
He is so correct on so many issues!
Once again Cruz demonstrated true conservative leadership unlike his contemporaries who go along to get along. He stands firm on his religious and Constitutional beliefs and does not waiver to be politically correct. His rally at the Fort Worth (pronounced Foat Wuth) stockyards yesterday was extremely inspiring to us Texas patriots who have been disappointed lately in some of our other representatives and Washington in particular.
We are proud of Ted. He is doing in the Senate what we have asked him to do. As President he will be able to do even more. He told us what he was going to do in the first days of his presidency if he is elected, something the other candidates have yet to announce.
Most people remained standing the entire time he was speaking, even the elderly, many of whom endured pain to stand with Ted. It was a moving experience to hear Ted speak and the crowd enthusiastically cheer their approval again and again. You could feel the spirits of our patriot forefathers and the Spirit of Texas among us this day. It was a good rally and I hope we inspired Ted as much as he inspired us.
I pray GOD will raise up a new generation of leaders who will lead us and restore our nation to greatness. I think Ted Cruz is one of many yet to come. May GOD continue to bless Texas and Ted Cruz. Even so, GOD bless the USA, one nation, under GOD.
Amen
