RUSH: Today is Thursday. Last weekend was four days ago. Depending on which day of the weekend you go back to, it could be five days ago. And if you have wishful thinking about weekends it could be six days ago, all the way back to last Friday. What happened last weekend? Donald Trump supposedly took himself out of the presidential race with one sentence about John McCain. I mean, that's what the conventional wisdom told us.
From the moment it was reported that Trump said he wasn't impressed with McCain because he's not impressed with people that get captured, the immediate media response, the immediate response, the knee-jerk response from the Washington establishment, both parties, was, "That's it. It's over. We've finally put a bag of excrement out there in front of Donald Trump, and he's stepped in it. This is it. This is the moment we've all been waiting for," they said.
This is the moment they said they knew was going to happen, if they would just wait. Trump was going to say something beyond the pale that would offend and outrage everyone and force him out of the race, to which they then said will be great so that we can now get down to the serious business of the Republican nomination.
The problem with creating a culture of the perpetually outraged can be summed up in five words: The boy who cried wolf.
Playing nice leads to Obama running roughshod across America. Screw that noise. If McCain is offended, lick my lizard.

The only other people I can think of besides the Left who get “outraged” over anything would be...radical Islamists.

Bobby Jindell said today on Cavuto, when pressed to say something negative about trump. The GOP and money people need to take a step back,a deep breath and let the American people select their own candidates

I caught some of Cavuto yesterday and he is staunchly against Trump. When push comes to shove, he obviously comes down on the side of Wall Street and the big money cartel.

Yes. Or look at it like when Rudy Giuliani said he has doubts that obama loves this country. The LSM a tried and tried for weeks to get people outraged, but it didn’t work because it was a particular situation in which spin doctoring could not overcome the sheer TRUTH of the statement. So people just couldn’t buy the propaganda because they already KNEW the statement was true.
I believe that is what is going on with Trump. People just KNOW what he’s saying is true and the propaganda just can’t cut through that.
