Dem Reps: Obama Became ‘Indignant’ On Capitol Hill, Visit ‘Absolutely’ Hurt Trade Bill
CBS ^ | June 12, 2015

In a public rebuke to President Barack Obama, top House Democrat Nancy Pelosi on Friday swung against legislation aimed at making it easier for the president and his successor to negotiate free trade deals.

The California Democrat said lawmakers should “slow this down” in hopes of getting stronger protections for U.S. workers and the environment in potential trade pacts, including one with Pacific nations.

Pelosi made her position known just prior to separate House votes to reject aid to displaced workers and to give Obama the “fast track” trade negotiating authority he is seeking.

“We need to slow this ‘fast track’ down,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi had been seen as a silent ally to Obama and Republicans running the House in promoting Obama’strade agenda, though she kept her position secret until the end of Friday’s debate. She made clear she’s open to supporting future trade legislation, noting that she represents a San Francisco district that thrives on trade and grew up in Baltimore, home of a thriving port.

Pelosi voted “no” despite escorting Obama into a closed-door caucus of House Democrats, most of whom opposed the fast-track trade bill, which requires that trade pacts be delivered to Congress for up or down votes, without amendment. The authority is key to getting trade partners to seal agreements since they know Congress can’t amend them.

One House Democrat told CNN’s Jake Tapper that Obama became “indignant.”

“He was fine until he turned it at the end and became indignant and alienated some folks,” the lawmaker said.

Tyrants often throw temper tantrums when they don’t get their way. 2-year old toddlers do too.

He probably felt disrespected by those racists and it pissed him off. Every other president gets trade authority, why am I being singled out?

Is the man-child going to hold his breath until he turns blue? He likely doesn’t even know what that trade bill, much less any trade agreement, means anyway.

The Narcissist-in-Chief only knows ‘he lost’.

I can’t imagine why the demonrats took umbrage when he became ‘indignant’.

After all, they’ve fared so well in Congress since he was elected.

This POS’ arrogance is only matched by his ego.

And neither is justified.

So if you can dress him up but you can’t take him out in his own caucus, what makes you think that he can negotiate well with other nations?

It didn’t hurt the support from Ryan and Cruz.

I’m convinced he will exact revenge —upon all of us. It’s a typical pattern when he doesn’t get his way. Remember the sequester?

Is the man-child going to hold his breath until he turns blue?

No, he'll pout for a day or two. Then he'll call Pelosi and ask her what she needs to get her support. You can bet it will involve huge sums of taxpayer money for Pelosi's pet projects.

Then Pelosi will switch her vote, along with many members of her caucus. This thing WILL pass eventually.

As far as US sovereignty goes, this last vote was just a temporary stay of execution.

That is the point. Now they see themselves not being re elected due to his bungling of everything he has touched. How well do you think his destroy all neighborhoods policy is going to set with even LIV's many of whom reside in other than section 8 housing?

He has been taking his revenge ever since he was sworn in. There hasn’t been one good thing he has do to improve traditional America. Instead, he has tirelessly and relentlessly worked to devolve it. He is evil incarnate.

Bambi doesn’t negotiate. He just gives the other guy what they want. At least if they are anti-American.
