Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: Climate change is real, man-made and dangerous. President Obama tweeted that, and it has been repeated by countless others. It is tempting for a politician to claim that 97 percent of experts agree with you. But do they?
The 97 percent claim was taken from a study paper by Australian John Cook, Climate Communications Fellow for the Global change Institute at the University of Queensland, and his colleagues, published in the journal Environmental Research Letters in May, 2013. The paper says nothing about the would-be dangers of climate change and it counts the number of publications, rather than the number of scientists, in support of human-made climate change. Never let facts get in the way of a good story.
The paper is a treasure trove of how-not-to lessons for a graduate class on survey design and analysis: the sample was not representative, statistical tests were ignored, and the results were misinterpreted.
What was an incompetent piece of research has become a highly influential study, its many errors covered up.

There must be some aspect of human behavior that has scientists from all walks of life, perspectives, points of view all think alike not because the unanimous scientific view is legitimately correct but is merely the result of an anomaly of the human psyche

Science....Ha....just go to the daily NASA sunspot pic and count...to monitor the decline in sunspot activity,
If they can’t answer simple questions from high school dropouts like myself, they’re in real trouble.
Just today on twitter one of the true believers informed me that the rising sea levels would wipe out the estuaries and take down the whole marine “web of life” with it.
I simply asked what happened to the web of life at the end of the last ice age when the seas actually did rise by hundreds of feet. He blocked me.

bammy lies literally all the time and I don't think he gives a rodent's backside about global warming - just power and control.
The sad thing is that many of the large energy companies have given into the fanatics and are now in the man-made climate change camp. I am sure that politicians have told them that any taxes imposed on energy consumption will be able to be passed through to consumers. Nothing but a money grab.

You may be giving this too much thought. It could simply be that climate scientists living on grants afforded them by proponents of climate change will tend to conclude what the proponents of climate change want them to conclude.
‘Yeah. The guy who did the “study” took 12,ooo papers, threw out 8,000 that didn’t agree with him, and he counted scientists who believe that man has an effect, but it’s infinitestimally small, and not even considering. Total BS!
