Is a conservative schism forming over support for Scott Walkers probable presidential candidacy?
Thanks to outspoken recent support from Rush Limbaugh, the Wisconsin governor has seen his potential nomination prospects soar as conservatives look for a strong alternative to the more moderate Jeb Bush.
That led to Beltway chatter about Walkers new ascendancy and a Drudge Report poll showing him trouncing all others. Forty-four percent of Drudge readers who participated backed him, followed by 13% for Senator Ted Cruz, 12% for Senator Rand Paul and just four percent for Bush. Nearly 450,000 voted.
Politico has continued to track Rushs sustained praise for Walker, which seems slightly more overt than the talk titan normally offers a GOP contender this early in the nomination process. During Tuesdays show, Limbaugh doubled-down, calling him gutsy and thanking him for standing up to these people [the left].
But fellow conservative talker Mark Levin seems not to be on board the bandwagon and has become increasingly outspoken on the matter. Though the syndicated host is adamant that hes supported the governor through many past battles, hes unsure that Walkers stance on illegal immigration is sufficiently conservative. Whats all of this Scott Walker stuff all of the sudden? he asked listeners during a recent monologue.

Yep. Here ya go:

Oh, please. Walker is so pro-illegal immigration that his presidency would deliver, once chain migration is factored in, upwards of 60 million majority low-skill, welfare-dependent, affirmative action-favored, new Leftist voters.
Everything Reagan stood for and defended would be lost if Walker were to become president.
Rush didn't say anything stupid, but don't let that keep you from doing it.
Rush simply pointed out that Walker won by campaigning as a Conservative and winning in a Blue state. You seem to have formed an opinion from comments made by detractors. Rush did not endorse Walker, just his Tactics.
oh goody.... loyalty tests!!!
Scott Walker.... check. Knows how to beat the Dems. Won THREE election in four years in the face of almost delirious opposition.
Ted Cruz ....check. Solid conservative; not afraid to stand up for his beliefs. Also, arguably the smartest guy in the Senate.
Sarah Palin....minus. Resigned her last position, and recent speeches indicate she’s not ready to jump into the national arena anytime soon.
Let’s compare Walker, Cruz with Reagan and Obama.......who do you think adds up to the other?
You are a liar. He stated that he was for deportation just the other day. Go screw yourself you Obama lover.
He is not pimping Walker and never has, but your statement proves the effectiveness of propaganda.
Blathering on about Walker in such glowing terms so man hours a day, days a week, and now into weeks in a month, is huge at this stage of the game.
And no, Rush isn’t so dumb as to not get that.
Thank you!
I am not a liar.
He’s been going on about legalization and eventual citizenship over the past couple of years, and has said he wants to make the border secure by making it so easy for immigrants to come here legally that they won’t bother to cross illegally.
I’ve posted links here, and all he did this Sunday was tap dance some non-denials about what has been his clearly stated position.
I love that about him, too. He is a proven winner against the left and their tactics. A positive for sure.
Walker is going to regret this coronation once he has to invoke what conservatism is in him to debate Cruz.
Everything Walker has taken to the Left in WI, Cruz has taken to OBAMA and his machine, non-stop.
Cruz will have to self-handicap in order to avoid un-veiling Walker as the Romney fellow-traveler that he is.
Google ‘Walker Cruz images = 0 pics. Do the same with ‘Walker - Romney’ = unending.
Demonstrably false statement, he spent much more time on deflated footballs than Walker. He spent over two days on Kit Carson then took off for a couple days.
Are you getting your talking points from the DU?
Pictures prove nothing. Of course, Romney campaigned in Wisconsin with Gov. Walker. Why wouldn’t there be pictures.
No, but I am engaging in a bit of hyperbole.
My problem with Walker is immigration and border security. That issue affects everything from our economy to our safety. We don’t need anymore immigrants.
Its all is about the 11 million [undocumented immigrants], Walker said. You hear some people talk about border security and a wall and all that. To me, I dont know that you need any of that if you had a better, saner way to let people into the country in the first place.
Walker added: If people want to come here and work hard in this country, I dont care if you come from Mexico or Canada or Ireland or Germany or South Africa or anywhere else. I want them
I like Ted Cruz. I like everything he says and I consider him one of, if not our best senator. I think he would make an excellent president. On the other hand, he was born in Canada to a Cuban father. I do not consider him to be natural born. Just because the Democrats ignore the Constitution, should we?
Im interested in hearing counter arguments.
