Subway removes ham and bacon from nearly 200 stores and offers halal meat only after 'strong demand' from Muslims
Almost 200 branches of Subway have cut ham and bacon from their menus, serving halal meat in response to calls from their Muslim customers.
The sandwich chain said 'following a strong demand from our Muslim customers', 185 outlets in the UK and Ireland have introduced the meat, which is prepared under strict Islamic rules.
In Arabic the word halal means 'permitted' or 'lawful' and defines anything that is allowed or lawful according to the Qur'an.
It is often used to indicate food - particularly meat - has been prepared in accordance with Muslim principles and techniques.

Their business, but also mine to continue my boycott of Subway after using the wookie to “promote” so-called “healthy choices” to children.
Since US Subway Shops(I REFUSE to Call the “Restaurants”) put PLASTIC(I know they “removed” the “ingredient”)in their “bread” I haven’t went to “Subways” since. I went to http://www.firehousesubs.com/ and found then to be Pretty TASTY!

If you don’t want ham and bacon don’t order it - but the totalitarians demand that you can’t have it either.
Unlike kosher which is a dietary law, halal requires a prayer.
The totalitarians control what you eat and require their prayer over your food.
Cowards capitulate.
Christians should not eat meat that has been sacrificed to idols, in this case, the moon god of islam.
By partaking of these “sacrifices, it means you are accepting their beliefs, the same way as Christians were forced to eat of the sacrifices to the Roman Emperors who was considered gods.
It is in 200 stores out of 1700 in England and Ireland. Subway is doing this to make money for the population around the stores. They don’t give two hoots about the Muslims. The Almighty dollar is the reason for this.
