There has to be a google glasses jammer. Apparently, at least one guy thought his fists might serve that purpose.

That’s why some Seattle bars have specifically said that people wearing a Glass are NOT welcome in their establishments.

Maybe security cameras can help the police to ID and arrest the perpetrators.

Questioning if this really happened at all. The story has the scent of a FB attention whore.

So we can see what Google Glass cannot do....protect you.
Perhaps she should start with a Kimber and then move on to the expensive toys. If you cannot defend it, you don’t own it.

It’s not about the glass, babe. What the hell are you doing in a hippie bar in San Franciscos Haight-Ashbury? Do you expect to be treated with respect in the lowest depth of the counter-culture?

I wonder if they serve Molotov cocktails there................

Beat me to it.
As with lots of other tech, the genie is, or shortly will be, out of the bottle on this one.
There are some really good uses for this tech, notably requiring police officers to wear them at all times.
Police brutality (and false accusations thereof) would largely disappear.

Why not just walk into a bar with one of these and see how many people like it? At any given moment a surprising percentage of people in a bar or club are not doing something they wish to have recorded. This appears to be news to some people.

THANK GOD THERE WERE NO CELLPHONE CAMERAS AT THE BAR!

Maybe it was a gay bar. Thus the hostility.

... the irony that libtards in Haigh Ashbury who worship the govt would attack a fellow libtard for doing exactly what the govt is supposed to do: track. monitor and tell you what to do.You have to think like a liberal.
Big Brother doesn't worry you.
Being in a viral YouTube video terrifies you.

I would not want someone recording me in public. Then don't go out in public because in the United States the right of the people to record or photograph anything that can be seen in or from a public space is a protected activity under the First Amendment.
Which is exactly as it should be.
