Magic wand time. Thank to this law, nobody will have lost their jobs due to Obamacare. The Obama admin can now point to the companies declaring that no employee did. They only have to keep fooling their idiots.
The purpose behind this directive is so that Obama and Obamacare won’t look bad.
Just flip this around and you get what is really intended -
companies will be penalized for SAYING that they fired people because of Obamacare.
Directive 10-289
*Obama lied about Obamacare, so why cant businesses?*
I think businesses have a loophole.
Since the government allows illegals to break the law and doesn’t round them up or punish them, it seems like productive business owners who hire legal Americans should be able to pick and choose what laws they want to obey and use the Federal government as a president for ignoring laws that they don’t like.
A generation ago, this was not possible for the simple reason that the government was not big enough and pervasive enough to pull it off. Now the government is so large, intrusive and unaccountable that it recognizes no limits on its power over the citizens.
The fascist irs carrying out the wishes of the czar.
Yeah, I guess our legal guy can say, “We fired 8 employees because they are too stupid to work here. I mean, they voted for Obama. Obamacare thresholds had nothing to do with it!.....I swear and affirm!”
The central committee has ruled.
I would do it in twenty or so paragraphs, each swearing up and down that ObamaCare has absolutely nothing to do with the hire or firing decisions, the costs associated with ObamaCare are not factored in to any business decision we here at Divadroid International (hereinafter referred to as “the company” make. ObamaCare expenses have no relation to any decision the company affecting its personnel, relocation to off-shore facilities of any the company’s manufacturing, service or administrative functions. The company makes every effort to offer ObamaCare compliant insurance to all US based employees without regards to direct costs or imposed administrative overhead cost as mandated by law...

That IS a pretty good IQ indicator.
If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever. - 1984, George Orwell
I can shorten if for them:
“Bush’s fault!”
That’s a bit related to the term “apophasis”.
In this case, by vehemently denying it, you’re confirming it.
I would add, as well, that “the following” must be stated due to Obama’s requirement that businesses may not state that any hiring or firing decisions were due to obamacare.
I do not remember this being in the bill. Can anyone tell me where the wording is located that gives the IRS the ability to enforce law that is not passed by congress?
The classic command economy defect Hayak predicted. Engage in a policy that logically produces a negative outcome, then ban negative outcomes. Just a little extra step here, also mandating that your “subjects” pretend the negative outcome isn’t actually being caused by your policy.
Let’s announce free food for all, then shoot anyone who complains about not getting any. It doesn’t actually fill anyone’s stomach, but the survivors all pretend they’re no longer hungry... and that’s what’s important.
“Lets announce free food for all, then shoot anyone who complains about not getting any.”
Except for the part about the multitudes starving to death, that’s pretty much what old Joe Stalin did. ;-)
Don’t forget Catch 22!
