Al Gore pops his head up at Davos…say, how’d he get there? A fossil fueled flight?…to make a racist pronouncement (via Climate Depot). Stopping overpopulation is one way the dangers of climate change can be mitigated, according to two of the most prominent believers in global warming.
Former Vice President Al Gore and Microsoft founder Bill Gates (how did Gates get to Davos? Anyone think he flew commercial?) said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that contraception is a key in controlling the proliferation of unusual weather they say is endangering the world.
“Depressing the rate of child mortality, educating girls, empowering women and making fertility management ubiquitously available, so women can chose how many children and the spacing of children… is crucial to the future shape of human civilization,” said Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his work on global warming.
Gore said Africa’s population is expected to surpass India’s and China’s by the mid-21st century and will be more than both combined by the end of the century.
The video of him speaking is here, starts at the 15 minute mark. Had anyone on the political Right said this, much less a former US Vice President, they would immediately be labeled a racist for wanting to reduce the population of Africa, which is largely populated by Black people and Arabs.
(The Reference Frame) Al Gore started to talk around 14:55 in the video above and advocated “fertility management” in Africa, something that sounds scary. You could think that he has explicitly talked about forced sterilization but he actually hasn’t – he has left the issue of the methods ambiguous. At any rate, it is very clear that he is obsessed with the idea of the reduction of the number of Africans and in this sense, he is no different than the German Nazis who wanted to gradually phase out Slavs on their stolen territories. It is impossible not to think that there’s some racism and stunning hypocrisy if a jerk who has produced four children is “working” on the reduction of the number of newborn babies in a completely different nation.
Warmists have long advocated for population reduction for Other People, being extensively linked to the rest of the Progressive agenda, which includes abortion on demand and forced sterilization along racist lines, as the early founders of this movement were eugenicists and racists, particularly against Blacks. Yet, these same Warmists mostly refuse to take themselves out of the gene pool. Many have several children.
“These extreme weather events which are now 100 times more common than 30 years ago are really waking people’s awareness all over the world, and I think that is a game-changer,” Gore said.
Except they aren’t. Unless you count below average temperatures as extreme. And the Gore Effect is in play in Davos, with the daily high temperatures being below average (around 32F-42F for this part of January, depending on the source) for the past few days and expected to be below 27F as a high for the next ten days, with many days into the teens. And snowing every day, which isn’t that unusual.
Anyhow, no one should be surprised that Gore has gone racist.

O gave Africa millions for abortion as soon as he took office, so both have something in common. So glad Al did not win the hanging Chad count.
There is a direct relationship between rising living standards and reduced population rates. Many millions of Chinese and Indians have joined their middle class and their rates are going down. Europe and Japan are now below replacement rates. We would be too, but for immigration.
Al’s family kept the maid/nanny in the car while they’d go inside to eat.
And his daddy voted against the Civil Rights bill.
But it’s those Rethugricants who are so “evil”. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson say so!
His and his ilk have already found a way to keep the African population down when they banned DTD.
I don’t believe these stats showing that Africa will exceed China in population. If Africa is the cradle of civilization and oldest place where humans have habited then why hasn’t Africa always been the most populus country? I think we know the answer but I would love to hear Gore answer that question.
Gore is letting his frame of reference show. Gore's worldview, along with all environmentalistss, and almost all leftists, is framed by Parson Thomas Malthus. In 1798 he postulated that:

That population does invariably increase when the means of subsistence increase, and,
That the superior power of population is repressed, and the actual population kept equal to the means of subsistence, by misery and vice.
This worldview is not true, and has been falsified scientifically. Nevertheless, it keeps a hold on the left. The boomers, including Gore, were entranced by Paul Erlich's Population Bomb, which stated:

Wrong, wrong, wrong. What happened is that capitalism spread all over the world, and the world has been transformed by the greatest explosion of wealth the world has ever seen. But Al Gore and the left completely ignore it.
The result of this blindness is that the left has been completely blindsided by the increase in human wealth that has taken place over the last 30 years since communism fell.

If you want to understand how idiotic America is, and how the left's blindness is hurting us, look at what China is doing in Africa. They are Africa's largest trading partner. They are building ports, railroads, and infrastructure. Africa is going to grow almost as much as Asia did, and will be middle class in 20 years. This is why Bill Gates, who does charity work in Africa, can state that the world will eliminate poverty by 2030. It isn't the birth control that will do it, it is capitalism, and ignoring Al Gore.

Africa will not be middle class in 20 years or 100 years but China will colonize large parts of sub- Saharan Africa and extract and use its resources. It is too hot there to think coherently enough to make a civilization with a middle class like in Europe or Korea (for example)
