GOP Rep. Asks Sebelius Why Single Men Need Maternity Coverage
National Review Online ^ | October 30, 2013 | Andrew Johnson

“To the best of your knowledge, has a man ever delivered a baby?” Representative Renee Ellmers (R., N.C.) jocularly asked Health and Human Services secretary Kathleen Sebelius, as part of her line of questioning as to why maternity coverage will be required in all insurance plans, including for single men.

Ellmers argued at Wednesday’s House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing that the requirement is one of the many provisions in the Affordable Care Act driving up health-care costs.

Acupuncture is also one of the mandatory benefits that insurers must include in all policies, even though there is no medical evidence to support its efficacy.

Another question for Sebelius: Why do homosexuals need maternity coverage?

Just admit that the purpose of Ubamacare is to wring every last dollar out of anybody who has a job or any savings.

The goal is universal debt and poverty.

Poor people are so much easier to control until the time for the final solution arrives.

The liberal talking point is that single men should pay for maternity benefits because some single men are part of the equation that produces a baby. The conservative talking point is that not all single men produce a baby and in the eyes of the law all men are innocent until proved guilty; therefore not punishable. We have dead-beat dad laws to go after the guilty already. We don't need to use health care as a weapon. But ... don't count on the spineless to use logic to defend conservatives.

Obamacare is Socialized Medicine without the taxation to pay for it through the Government. You are required to pay to cover what other people need. It will be Single Payer soon and then you can expect your FICA to rise by 10%. To pay for everyone else’s health care. It’s the Socialist way.

Men don’t have babies, but in the Obama regime, some of his “wo-men” appointees might make that observation outdated.

As Michael Myers would say, “Hey, it’s a man-babe”.

Expect all health care expenses to increase 30 % each year.
It's the power of "single -payer" program where there is a monopoly !
Expect more of the same !

I wonder if this is in part a government response to society’s mushiness of dealing with transgender/transsexual identification. Remember the case last year of the “first pregnant man”?

Renee Ellmers is a RN who manages her MD husbands wound care center in Dunn, NC. So, she knows quite a bit about healthcare delivery systems and insurance, and people being sick with wounds from diabetes, etc.

She is a sharp cookie who defeated Etheridge (the drunk ahole who attacked conservative videographers while being filmed in DC the “who are you” character who is a tool of the dem machine, who immediately got a job with corrupt gov. bev perdue’s admin before she got kicked out)

This is to make sure everyone is ‘equal.’
In case some woman has some flesh grafted and her breasts reduced, and her voice raised 1 octave, and she starts taking hormones and grows a beard.

She is still a woman and can be pregnant, but all good liberals will bow down to the great god of PC and call her “him.”

The country is descending into a pit of madness.

Well, all of that is true, except the sharp cookie part. But this was a good moment for her.

Just flicked to Fox, and Megyn is interviewing the unstable, drunk-looking Pallone from New Jersey, who was also on the Scabelius panel. Cross-eyed, poorly dressed, looks like he should have a van with ‘free candy’ written on the side.

Piglosi picks such nutjobs to go on these committees.

Now Obamacare is ‘capitalism’. hahahahha. What a dolt.

Really wish at least one of them would have brought up the issue of the no bid contract, if there was any money held in reserve in the event of non-performance, who decided on the company who would get the contract, who actually signed the contract, did anyone check prior performance - such as why did they hire someone that Canada had already fired because of inability to perform. How about exploring the link between Michelle and her friend who is an Executive or the fact that Valerie’s daughter and sil both work for this company.

They had a golden opportunity and blew it.

Last time I checked Germany has socialized medicine and every one pays 50% to the state, but all 90 million of them live in an area the size of Kansas.

Actually, you need to take that notion backward one more step. The purpose of Obamacare is to get enough more freeloaders on the dole to insure one-party rule in this country in perpetuity, and to use the money earned by the remaining productive citizens to do it.

NO KIDDING! Just another Joisey schmuck. He and Alan Grayson need to take their “show” on the road.
