Posted on 10/08/2013 4:06:52 PM PDT by Kid Shelleen
An off-duty undercover cop was charged with felony criminal mischief Tuesday after smashing the window of a Manhattan drivers SUV in a fit of rage during a biker-mob attack, sources said. He totally lied when he said he did nothing [to help the victim] because he didnt want to blow his cover, a law-enforcement source seethed.

You still on the crotch rocket caper?
I hope these animals get the death penalty
Why would they be apt to be murderers more than any other person? The BETTER and BEST police departments in the West do extensive psychological testing on ALL their recruits. No sane police department wants gun-toting, badge-wearing nut cases on their police forces.
I’m still entertained by your support of the thugs. It never gets old.
Not extensive enough. Unless they are trying to get high school wrestling team rejects. They don't want anyone too smart on the force, either. That's why the courts said they are allowed to exclude applicants who score too high on the IQ test. They just want animals that will blindly follow whatever orders they given.
so this bastard is actually the one who STARTED it
are you crazy?
this is CLEARLY a case of a bad cop... GOOD COPS HATE BAD COPS
Criminally complicit ambulance chasers everywhere are displeased with you comparing them to holder.
I assumed this to be an excellent piece of sarcasm, myself.
It *has* to be.
The cops will walk.
Much as I hate to say something good about Bloomturd, it looks like the prissy little man has ordered the NYPD to go full bore on this case and arrest and charge everybody they can. Of course, that could be because many of his good friends in the financial services business also own expensive SUVs andsws to drive into town on weekends without being menaced by mobs of thugs on crotch rockets. Nevertheless, good for him.
Have to give you a BBB on that one (Bump babe bump, bumpity, bump, bump and BUMP!)
You live in a dreamworld.
I just wrote to another poster that I once applied to a big city police department for a job. I thought it was a fair, balanced act. Police ARE of a certain nature, just as politicians, soldiers, athletes, actors, etc., generally are.
I did take the I.Q. test. The tester, an older guy, said that I probably wouldn't be happy as a police office because my IQ was too high. It's NOT that high but I got his point.
I finished the Academy but didn't take the job because I got the REAL job I wanted, NOT in police enforcement.
I SHOULD have known better than to post something positive about police departments on this site.
Of course, many of his other, other good friends are "smart-fellas". He should get some of them to take care of these two-wheeled filth.
I FINALLY remember who Kid Shileen was. CAT BALLOU!! Bwaahahaha. Lee Marvin was WONderful!
Mean and evil through and through.
Here's some additional reading for you.......
Yeah! Wasn't he WONderful? :o)
I don’t know if the biker cop was so much a cop thing or a black thing. It sounds more like he was a black who got caught up in the hate orientals frenzy, like he couldn’t help it.
Dwayne Hickman (Dobie Gillis) was in it too. I liked him and Maynard G Krebs. "Work" was a 4 letter word.
I’m glad you’re so easily amused...
Close a car door on his head a couple hundred times.
So I’m still not clear. Were these cops on the job (undercover) as part of this gang or were they off-duty and doing this for fun? Even this report refers to this one cop as “off-duty, undercover”. WTF?
Maynard G. Krebs. I had almost forgotten about him. Precursor of the hippie, like yeah man.
Huh? Is this you??
Yep, he was a beatnik. Then there was Zelda.
Oh gawd, dare I ask who Zelda was? Sounds like the name of a blimp or a donkey.
I don't see a whole lot of evidence of this. Perhaps the good cops are so outnumbered by the bad ones that they are afraid to speak out. That would make sense given the reflexive support you tend to see out here when one gets caught doing something, or shoots "a civilian" pretty much regardless of the circumstances unless it's on at least 3 simultaneous videos.
“They just want animals that will blindly follow whatever orders they given.”
You mean like the USPS “armed rangers?
Yes, it is.
I don’t think anyone has given a clear explanation. I think he was just an off-duty cop, who fed the media a lie that he was under cover when he really never was. I don’t believe any of them were under cover. I think they’re just crooked thugs.
“Why would they be apt to be murderers more than any other person? The BETTER and BEST police departments in the West do extensive psychological testing on ALL their recruits. No sane police department wants gun-toting, badge-wearing nut cases on their police forces.”
Here in the northeast their status as “preferred minorities” supersedes all else (fitness, intelligence, mental health); for many it has become a workfare program. When the local paper showed a picture of a ceremony a few years ago when Newark NJ laid off 160 cops, you wouldn’t believe the fat asses on many of them (and they were the newest hires). A couple looked tough (probably military veterans); the rest weren’t about to enforce any laws that required them to stand up.
I only ever see ‘good cops’ find excuses to defend bad cops. Remember the innocent victims in the Dorner hunt? The lack of any LEO outcry? Remember Officer Harless of Canton OH?
Cops are not interested in holding other cops to account, least they do something wrong themselves.
You must be young. Dobie Gillis, Maynard G Krebs and Zelda.
YES, I remember them and even Zelda Gilroy, super brain. She had the hots for Dobie--small, brunette with a perky pony tail. It was fun. I liked "dad" the best, crusty old codger with a head on his shoulders. He had the family grocery store.
Ah me, those were the days. Thalia Menniger, super cute, stereotype dumb blonde, was Dobie's dream. Fat chance.
I thought so!
That makes no sense to me. Somebody too smart to be happy as a street cop could become a detective.
Unless it's an excuse to exclude smarter white applicants so the pool includes more minority applicants.
It's a shame really. The "thin blue line" needs push away from the dinner table sooner.
Police departments also changed TREMENDOUSLY when they decided that they HAD to hire lots of women cops. And they did. Unfortunately, TOO many of those women disabled out with all kinds of back injuries, knee problems, etc. It's one thing to say "we want more women in the police departments" and QUITE another thing getting women on the streets. I know FOR SURE that physical requirements had to be GREATLY lowered so that women could qualify.
I dunno. If you were in REAL physical danger, which would you rather see show up at your door: a 5'2" woman cop or a
BIG, MEAN, UGLY Tact Squad cop? There are no WOMEN on any Tact squad I've ever heard of. But, then what do I know?
Side note: I don't think I've EVER seen a woman cop on a motorcycle, riding a police horse, holding on to those VICIOUS police dogs or being part of the "TACT squad."
Nowadays, as I keep up with those things, few women are "on the beat." They are riding their desks, instead of a patrol car.
1. Detective work WAS an option, but one didn't become a detective coming out of the Academy. Detective work came MUCH, MUCH later in a career. All the detectives I saw had gray hair, if they had any hair at all. I would have LOVED to have been a detective. But it was not to be.
2. Minorities and women DID get a hand up. The police departments had mixed feelings about women cops, I think. Women minorities (darn few) had a guarantee of a job. Most women cops didn't last long enough on the force because too many disabled out. I remember having to RUN up and down a gym floor eight times pulling/holding (whatever) a 250-pound weight. I succeeded because I had physically prepared for the ordeal. Wasn't so hard because I DID prepare ahead of time.
I remember that some women were so weak they couldn't shoot and shoot and shoot because their weak little arms got TIRED holding up that big ole gun. Mine didn't--PREPARATION. But my arms DID get fatigued after a while. Whew! My husband and mother were 100% behind me on my quest, albeit a short-lived quest, but were relieved that I didn't get the position.
The main cop (older guy) who was my mentor told me that he thought that, in the end, I would be happier NOT being on the force. I respected his opinion and, thinking about it long and hard, finally had to agree with his opinion.
That was a long time ago. I don't think about it much. Family and husband are gone now but I wonder NOW how my life would have been IF I had become a police officer.
A few miles south of me by Newark Airport they found a dead trucker who had been carjacked in PA; the carjackers had wrecked their car in PA, disarmed a police woman who stopped to assist, then stole and wrecked her car. The trucker stopped to help what he thought was a cop in distress, whereupon the creatures forced him to drive him to Newark where they killed him.
The she-cop lived, the trucker died, and this joined a list of similar stories in which females simply can’t protect their own weapons (have you seen the one where the convict knocks the she-cop out with one blow? His kids are in his car watching...). Here in NJ they discontinued the statepolice boxing that was part of their training because a woman was killed in the ring; I guess they just eliminated physical fitness as a requirement for them.
Police work should be like some military; do a few years in your prime (maybe set up something like GI Bill for training/education afterwards), then move on. In our early days this was never viewed as an industry unto itself...
:) I used to love that show. Zelda was such a nerdy gal. Maynard was my fav.
The police USED to have a height requirement too. Now, no height requirement. I want to see BIG, MEAN-LOOKING cops.
Eons ago I went to a university here. There was a student strike and the student mobs were SCREAMING at the university president. F--words and so on.
So, said president called in the TACT squad of our local police department--young, big cops. NO one moved. They weren't scared of the TACT squad.
So, they called in ALL reserve cops. Lol. Among the cops that came was a group of about 15 local MOTORCYCLE cops came onto the campus. You know, the cops on motorcycles.
WELL! EVERYONE was scared TO DEATH of THEM...their big jackboots, helmets, leather jackets, middle-aged men, tired, grumpy, ticked off at all the stupid, spoiled students who wouldn't leave the campus--even after the SCARY TACT squad came on to do battle. Harhar. It was hilarious. The riot IMMEDIATELY broke up...everyone scattered and the motorcycle cops just had to STAND THERE and everyone shook in his shoes. :o)
Women cops...I dunno. They are like the women firefighters....who CANNOT carry a 250-lb. man down a ladder during a fire. Grant you, the older firemen probably couldn't do it anymore either, but at least they already EARNED their stripes. The BIG push for women cops and firefighters has died down now. I don't see so many of them anymore...thank the Lord.
