AZ Voters Taking Action: McCain-Flake Recall
The Free Patriot ^ | 9/29/2012 | Arctic Conservative

Arizona voters are angry. They are not alone in their anger, for it seems betrayal on the vote to defund ObamaCare is not isolated to Arizona. However, Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit and John Hawkins at Right Wing News are on board with the recall, and I certainly feel their pain! I live in Alaska, not Arizona, but I certainly know what it is like to feel betrayal from a Senator! The difference is that I know mine are not Republican; yet McCain and Flake seem to think they are!

Can’t be done. It’s not in the Constitution. Unfortunately.

Citizens are taking back America one recall at a time.

I would love to. I can’t find a petition to sign on that link.

U.S. Senators cannot be recalled. Under the U.S. Constitution, they serve a six-year term, and only the Senate itself can expel them before that term ends.

I hope it works but I’m not sure you can do that.

Yeah I don’t know why people have such a hard time with that concept. Its just one more nasty little surprise they inserted into the 17th amendment.

They can’t throw the bum out, but maybe they can make his life miserable. Maybe at every public event, when he opens his pie hole and starts out with “My friends...” they can all shout back “LIAR!” until he finally becomes so pissed off he spends the rest of his Senate term holed up in some lamestream news green room.

PLEEEEEEEEEase DO IT! And then Texas will axe Cornyn. Why wait? We have the money in the budget for a special election. This is as good a reason as any.

Can you imagine if we actually recalled even one of these douchebags? The establishment would go nuts. Lets do it!

Go Arizona, treat them with as much disdain as they have for us.

“Can’t be done. It’s not in the Constitution. Unfortunately.”

There is some debate over that. AZ candidates sign a pledge as to whether they will stand for recall election notwithstanding.

Unfortunately by law there is little that can be done at the moment to censure McCain. However while it may seem cruel, it would be rewarding to dump his poodle Graham in the SC Republican primary. A concerted effort would be good for the country.

From the recall petition site:

“NOTE: I’ve received notice that the state of Arizona wants the petition previously displayed here to be filed and reviewed with them before being circulated, and is asking me to register as a political committee, and to file campaign finance reports … despite receiving no contributions, nor being a committee.
Removing my petition and putting this on hold till I verify the state’s ‘requests’.”

Doesn’t matter-—The effect of gathering tens of thousands of signatures will impact both of them greatly, it will open the door for primary opponents and damage them politically.

I called for it yesterday. I didn’t realize the citizens couldn’t remove their own Senator. This probably dates back to when the Senators of each state were appointed, not placed into office by popular vote.
