It’s brainwashing. Try to get into debates with some who have been indoctrinated, young people and many are brainwashed.

Yet, the term escapes me, they are suppose to be able to intelligently debate this. I even ran into some where college profs were held up in high esteem.

And for this parents get to pay 40K a year? Except,of course, for “the most vulnerable among us”.They get to hear this Barbara Streisand for free.

Don’t forget the $5000 in annual property taxes to indoctrinate your kids from K thru 12. It costs serious money to turn our children into communist brownshirts...

One must admit that all of these professors are brilliant, intellectual, really-really smart individuals who are superior in every way to those knuckle-dragging,
bible-thumping, gun-loving idiots living in flyover country.

/S/

IMHO

It’s interesting to see that the #1 is from the University of Colorado at Boulder, one of the areas hit by the recent floods. I was shocked to hear a broadcaster on the Weather Channel refer to the storm as one of “Biblical proportions”. Didn’t even know those people knew anything about the Bible and seem to always be chalking everything up to global warming or climate change.

Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents. -- Bill Ayers, University of Illinois at Chicago

I think Bill Ayers is rich. Shouldn't we break up his cars? I don't think he lives in an apartment, but shouldn't we break up his house? It was his command. Must Obey Bill Ayers!

3) The only true heroes are those who find ways that help defeat the U.S. military...I personally would like to see a million Mogadishus. -- Nicholas De Genova, Columbia University

All of the above are insane, some more than others, but this one struck me because I've read quite a bit about this battle. While this was a military misadventure (due to BILL CLINTON and a Democrat administration who knew nothing about the military - sound familiar?), we were not defeated.

Our military went into the heart of enemy territory, armed only with light weapons, and stood off an enemy with nearly limitless firepower and manpower. They did this in an urban environment which favors the defender.

The kill ratio against the Somalis was something like 50 to 1, in favor of the US. Looked at another way, what the US Military (particularly our Special Forces) did was nothing short of a miraculous feat of arms.

Viewed from that angle, De Genova is essentially calling for the eradication of literally millions of people, if you do the math. But I'm sure, being a college professor, math isn't his strong suite.

In the 1920s, the influential Italian communist Antonio Gramsci wrote that in order to take over a country or a society, communists first had to take over its “institutions,” by which he meant the media, the education system, the universities, the legal profession, voluntary organisations and churches. Methodically, and slowly but surely, his idea was put into practice. All of those very institutions have been taken over by the far Left in our country, and they are now taking us to our doom.

17) I know they say (Stalin) killed 20, 30, 40 million people. It’s bullsh*t. (I have yet to find) one crime that Stalin committed. -- Grover Furr, Montclair State University.

Right, Stalin never killed anyone. He was only GIVING ORDERS!

A professor, on finding out that my pre-law cousin was a farm boy, told him that someday we wouldn't need farmers because we would make all our food out of soy beans.

Small item on the plus side. I read yesterday that Guth was suspended.

It would be nice to make that suspension permanent. But we have to start somewhere.

Keep pushing back against the evil propaganda and those who preach it.

Yet, the term escapes me, they are suppose to be able to intelligently debate this.

Long gone are the days when an instructor would have a student take the opposing position and argue it, forcing research that might de-propagandize the student.

14) On September 11, 2001, nineteen Arab hijackers too demonstrated their willingness to die – and to kill – for their dream. They died so that their people might live, free and in dignity. -- Shahid Alam, Northeastern University

This one is more or less true.

Depending on how you define the various terms, particularly "free" and "dignity."

I think the concept is of “critical thinking” which is to confront the ideologue.
Unfortunately when ideologues are in a position of power they attempt to use that power to simply shut up the free thinker, and shut down the discussion. At that point we enter dark times, “force on man” as Ayn Rand would say.

Where do I start?

These idiots live in a bubble of their own creation. The comments on economics is akin to alchemists ridiculing modern material scientists. They hate capitalism and profit(ewwwww!) except for when they profit, of course.

Their sympathy for the common man is clouded by their contempt for the common man. Their disdain for the founding and formation of this country is contrasted by their cozy existence that is a direct result of this founding and formation.

They hate the power of our military but would be enslaved to tyrants without this military. To them, patriotism is a fool's errand, yet they bow to ever-failed ideology. They speak of doing violence against their perceived oppressors, but despise the armed forces. These cowards would run and hide when the first shot was fired.

They hate whitey while they enjoy a six figure income with tenure.

I believe this is the Biblical definition of double-minded. And how will this end?

I had the pleasure (?) of having Howard Zinn for two courses.

The guy said this kind of stuff every day in his somewhat measured to the public, stoned out kind of way; and this was long ago.
