Agreed on not sending US troops to support Obama's Al Qaida strategy. But, man, that's a motley crew he's hanging with...

How is it secret, if everyone knows about it.

but man, that's a motley crew he's hanging withThe far left and the far right have always spoken their minds. What we have in common is we aren't bought and paid for. The best thing that can happen now is we get together and get the sellouts in the middle out of office and defeat their schemes.
The progressive ship has sailed away from Obama Island. People say it's this situation; I contend they'd already had it with Snowden being labelled a traitor. So, let's get together and make new friends for now and fight the honest fight between conservative and liberal ideologies when and if the US can be saved.

RE :”
Aides say Paul planned the gathering over a week ago, and the list of attendees grew by the day. He is pleased, especially, by the number of Democrats who are eager to work with him to kill the war resolution. Representatives Alan Grayson (D., Fla.) and Tulsi Gabbard (D., Hawaii), among other liberals, spoke.” Alan Grayson has been on MSNBC dozens of times saying that Republicans wanted to defeat and now repeal Obama-care because ‘they want you to die’.
He was booted in 2010 but regained his seat in 2012.
But stirring up Dems to oppose Obama is a good idea.

I have good friends on the other side of the fence. Way on the other side. Leftist, Marxists and some Socialists. All old college chums. We normally do not talk politics, or quietly listen to each other without comment. We value our friendship and do not jeopardize it.
I was there once.
All of them, so far, do not support this conflict. They are genuinely puzzled at the president’s take on it and none want to be involved. If there is EVER an issue to unite the country this is it. Go Rand!

According to several participants, the lawmakers plotted ways to stop the use of U.S. military force in Syria.
Russia already stopped it. There will be no use of U.S. military force in Syria.
As a side-note, this article conjured up an image in my head of these guys all in the capitol basement playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Saw Tulsi Gabbard give an interview .... she was terrific on this issue (she’s definitely a Democrap on most other issues). She is currently a Military Police Company Commander with the Hawaii Army National Guard, and has served on two deployments to the Middle East. She made her case based on her military experience not the usual Leftist ‘emotional’ argument - it was devastating to what Obomber wants to do.

The big threat here is Obama and his idiotic policies.
If we have to work with liberals for a while to defeat Obama, then we hold our nose and do it. Whatever it takes to remove the threat.
Then, after the liberals served their usefulness, we can always kick them to the curb again

Well, guess what..maybe Obama is a uniting influence after all.

...that's a motley crew
On the Republican side, senators Dean Heller (Nev.), Mike Lee (Utah), John Boozman (Ark.), and John Barrasso (Wyo.) were there. So was a group of House Republicans, such as Jim Jordan (Ohio), Scott Garrett (N.J.), Walter Jones (N.C.), Justin Amash (Mich.), Tim Huelskamp (Kan.), and Paul Broun (Ga.)
Some of those senators aren't so 'motley' i.e. Mike Lee...

I believe RON Paul voted with Dems significantly more than he voted with Republicans.
I’m also against sending any of our soldiers to Syria, but why doesn’t Rand Paul hang out with Repulicans who are against the war?
