According to several participants, the lawmakers plotted ways to stop the use of U.S. military force in Syria.

Russia already stopped it. There will be no use of U.S. military force in Syria.

As a side-note, this article conjured up an image in my head of these guys all in the capitol basement playing Dungeons and Dragons.

I think Rand also was a help in stopping the war. Had there been no virulent opposition in Congress, Barry may have not felt the need to march Kerry out with equivocations that trapped him with the Russians.

Obama's objective is to bring the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Syria. The CIA is already arming and training the "Syrian" rebels. But if it takes more than that, don't be surprised if Obama gins up another excuse for a "limited" strike. Remember, our strikes in Libya were going to be limited too, and wound up being some 80 days, until Ghadafi was ultimately deposed.
