Rubio to Introduce Senate Bill to Ban Abortions After 20 Weeks (Too late Marco, we know who you are)

Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) today agreed to be the lead sponsor of a Senate bill to ban abortion after an unborn child is 20 weeks old. A similar measure passed the House last month and a state version is now being debated in the Texas legislature, where it is likely to be approved.

Marco Antonio Rubio

With Rubio’s presence, the bill is certain to gain enormous media attention and thus more national visibility for the issue of limiting late term abortions. Right-to-life groups have urged Rubio to take the lead on the issue, believing he would be the strongest possible advocate in the Senate. Several sources confirmed he’d agreed.

The bill faces an uphill fight in the Democrat-controlled Senate and a veto threat by President Obama. But win or lose, Republicans and the leaders of the pro-life movement regard the 20-week ban as an especially favorable issue for their cause – and one that might strengthen GOP candidates in the 2014 midterm election.

This is reflected in poll numbers. A Gallup survey in January found that 64 percent of Americans think an abortion in the second three months of pregnancy should be illegal. As for the last three months, 80 percent feel an abortion that late should be banned. A Texas Tribune poll found even more sweeping opposition among Texans to late term abortions.

Rubio’s decision to play a major role in the abortion debate is bound to stir political speculation. He is viewed as a likely candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

But he’s recently prompted serious criticism by Republicans over his support for the immigration reform bill that passed the Senate last week. His front-and-center role on a key anti-abortion measure is likely to ease concerns about him among GOP voters.

This guy thinks we are stupid as all those Obama supporters and do not remember he proved himself not one of us on immigration.

The Jig is up, Marco.

RE :”Rubio to Introduce Senate Bill to Ban Abortions After 20 Weeks”

This is a standard GOP/’conservative’ smokescreen trick. Ryan uses it all the time w his phony budget resolutions.

This Abortion bill wont even make it to a Senate vote (past procedural) yet the Rubio Senate amnesty bill got passed and made it out of the Senate, with much scamming by Rubio himself.

To compare Schumer and Durbin would be working full time behind the scenes to get fellow Senate Dems ~ 15 total to vote for this abortion bill.

But of course that wont happen.

Like the Senate will even bring it to the floor.

What did they tell you, Marco? That they would “consider” it if you sold out? That they would give you a fig leaf so the low-info conservative voter wont see how small your stones really are?

Yes it is. Case in point: I've re-worded the lead sentence in the article, without changing the meaning, to show what he's supporting:

Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) today agreed to be the lead sponsor of a Senate bill that allows the abortion of an unborn child through the first half of a pregnancy.

He thinks we are Stupid. He thinks he can appease us by pretending to be in favor of a bill he knows will never get out of committee.

Treason is not easily redeemed. The good that Benedict Arnold did was interred with his bones. The evil lived on. Whatever good Rubio does until we can throw his ass out of the Senate will not make up for his sin of betrayal. I have more respect for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer than I do for Rubio.

Treason is rampant in the USA where the docile masses
had their Election again stolen from them to
reelect a stealing, whoring, Enemy-conspiring Congress
which did commit perjury to put in an impostor
as their Islamic pRes_ _ent.

It apparently would not be tolerated in Egypt.

There is nothing in the constitution to permit the federal government any say in the legality or illegality of abortion in the states.

So, not only is Rubio a lying self-serving sack of human excrement, he is clearly holds in disdain the document he swore an oath to support and defend against all enemies.

Truly a vile person.

He needs to be recalled
