I called Ted Cruz’s office and suggested your argument (with some added language like, “Many fine people live south of the border, but when they vote here...”)
However, I would not be surprised if Rubio gave an answer like post #36. Too many people like Gowdy in the House are saying that border security is the main thing wrong with the Rubio bill.

Q. Are these GOP’ers (1) principled, or, (2) just rank opportunists addicted to power?
A. No-brainer. They’d throw their wives and children to a pack of wolves if it meant hanging on to power.

>>> This Abortion bill wont even make it to a Senate vote (past procedural) yet the Rubio Senate amnesty bill got passed and made it out of the Senate, with much scamming by Rubio himself <<

So, he’s trying to alienate as many interest groups as possible?

My only question is if they are conservatives (so-cons) as Rubio and GOP keeps claiming then why does Rubio say we need to seal the border and stop the flow ?? Seems like we would want more of them. <<
Excellent question. Plus, why "polls" keep show that hispanics strongly support Obamacare and gay rights if they're "socially conservative"? Of course, that's hispanics overall. Too bad we can't poll only illegal aliens, because I suspect they'd favor Obamacare even more than hispanics overall.

McCain and/or Schumer by the looks of it.

Proven, and time-tested.

He is “one of us” on abortion, different issue. John McCain and Lineseed Graham are also pro-life, so was Rubs predecessor Mel Martinez. It has nothing to do with their RINOosity on amnesty. There is no need to pretend Rubio is Susan Collins, that’s just not accurate. Ardent House pro-lifer Chris Smith is a downright moderate otherwise, well to Rub’s left.
As said however this bill is a meaningless gesture, it won’t get out of committee and Rubio knows that. Sounds like he’s just trying to get back in our good graces.
