A new rule issued late Friday requires state, federal and local agencies as well as health insurers to swap the protected personal health information of anybody seeking to join the new health care program that will be enforced by the Internal Revenue Service.
Personal health information, or PHI, is highly protected under federal law, but the latest ruling from the Department of Health and Human Services allows agencies to trade the information to verify that Obamacare applicants are getting the minimum amount of health insurance coverage they need from the health "exchanges."
The ruling, explained on pages 72-73 of the book-thick guidance, does not mention any requirement that applicants first OK the release of their PHI.

My God, what have we allowed our nation to become, and still no one stands up against the onslaught of fascism in America.
The purpose is to allow state agencies to use even the smallest bits of psych data to deny carry permits and/or come and take your guns.
A law that lets them make up any new rule they want, any time they want??? How convenient...
And people thought electronic medical records were about improving quality of care and preventing mistakes. Suckers. Its all about Big Brother having access to everything at the push of a button. Imagine your whole health record plugged into your NSA phone, credit card and email records. No hiding from the Beast.
It’s way more than guns - and I think this is an important front to fight Obamacare on. Ask the american people if they really want all their personal medical information entrusted to federal agencies - that can “share” that information with whoever they want.
And yet people still post their life stories (with film) on the internet. Nobody cares. I have railed against this cloud data trend since the late 90’s. Once your medical data (and data financial, family, debt, voting record, donations, email, phone) is computerized anyone can get it at anytime. Data security is a joke and those that attempts to tell you they can protect it are lying to your face. The only protection is a disconnected computer and even then thumb-drives can be used (see Snowden).
The bottom line is...........they will want to see all your assets so they can withdraw payments from your accounts and put a lien on any property for services rendered. This is going to do away with any lookback as is now attached to Medicare etc..
Everybody else has free-rein.
I hate to use nazism as an example but there is a parallel. It has to do wth assumptions and one’s premises. Once the premise was that jews had to be eliminated then it came down to devising most efficient method etc
On ObamaCare once they accept the premise that the government is really running healthcare then of course they need your health data. Scarey stuff.
I think the Snowden issue as of late has proved this true, and I can personally confirm, having working in IT for a major healthcare network, that the people overlooking your personal data are generally incompetent or simply "beginners" and are taught how to use security applications and appliances that do their jobs for them.
The problem is that most of those appliances are built in China and have been shown to be susceptible to attacks.
We had peopel callign durign electio ntime stating “I see you haven’t voted yet, we woudl like to encourage you to get out and vote’ and thought “Hmmm- Did you see me take a dump too? Wonder how they know, wonder IF they know WHO I’m votign for?”
At least when people are posting their own files, they do so voluntarily. I have no problems with that. What is happening with obamacare is against our will.
About 6 months ago, I was at Kaiser to see my doctor. The nurse informed me she was giving me an appointment which would last about 40 minutes, to get information from me that they needed, and she said it would be sent to the government. I asked why the government, and she said it was required. I let her make the appointment (blood boiling) and 3 days later I cancelled the appointment. I know they will eventually make me do this, if I want to see a Dr there... and I don’t know how to get around it when it kicks in. But every fiber of my being rejects this... final and forever!
At least, I can do the same with my answers as Obama does with his. But it still angers me... all of this angers me. The whole Washington angers me. I can’t stand the bunch in there... and that goes for the so called republicans also. They say every day, “To hell with you folks out there.”
You have no right nor should you have any expectation of privacy or due process.. when the knocks on the door happen in the middle of the night.. just comply. The gulagization of
America is about to begin.
Revolt is coming.
Back before a bunch of lawsuits destroyed the practice, the federales would target someone they didn't like and subject him or her to a FITNESS FOR DUTY EXAM. That invariably led to the creation of a body of medical reports tied to the personnel jacket (which I call a dossier), and they'd pass that around to each other, laugh and giggle, and then move on to fire the person.
The common practice in USPS was for managers having such reports to toss them in an open file once the case was closed. That way everybody could take a look.
Eventually the unions caught on to that one.
What I always wondered was why so terribly many government managers had no sense whatsoever of the need for privacy. It's almost universal with them and may have to do with the way they are selected ~ bribery is not unknown, and other criminal behavior is suspected. Worst were the ex union officers.
ObamaKKKare is a license to turnloose the fascists and the commies both on your medical records. How utterly stupid of people to vote for that.
Revolt is coming.
You do post this a lot. I'm not sure you are correct, for many reasons. If you are correct, it will make CWI look like a walk in the park on a warm spring day.

Who is going to start this revolt and what are we waiting for. The dumb will never catch up as long as the freebies are out there. Those most affected by all this are nice people who are not into getting ugly or raising a ruckus. Just when will enough be enough. As far as I am concerned, we’ve surpassed the ‘enough’ line, and are now just belly aching about the chains being applied.. day by day...
