Was reading about how in London beheading, people just stood around passively for 20 minutes waiting for the cops to show up, while the terrorists paraded around with bloody hands lecturing everyone.

I couldn't help but wonder, if such an event occurred in the USA what would happen? If it occurred in a concealed carry state, what would happen?

In Lubbock someone-probably various someones—would have had a gun. There would have been resistance. New York, however is a different story. No guns. And not very many real Americans. On a recent trip to NYC, I looked around a subway car I was riding in. One can never be sure of course, but I would guess that native born Americans made up less than 20 percent of riders. People in exotic dress, people reading Korean, Chinese, and Spanish newspapers. Women in sharia veils. How many of these people would be troubled if a real American soldier were murdered in their midst? Oh well, lets admit 30 million more.

Unfortunately Ft Hood has gun restrictions that don’t exist off base. That said, Texas is hardly the only place people shoot back. Detroit is the justifiable homicide capitol of the nation because people can and do shoot back.

I’m not sure they didn’t want to die right there as martyrs. They must have known the police were on their way. Being still armed they were going to be shot at; as they were. Too bad it wasn’t fatal. Here it would have been.

These kind of terrorists want maximum world-wide media coverage, They get it. The Boston bombers could have easily gotten away, but decided to kill a cop and fight.

I think we are in for more of this kind of thing everywhere in the Western non-Islamic world.
