When behead was typed into Google yesterday, the search engine automatically suggested completing the sentence with those who insult Islamindicating this was the most common search beginning with that word.
A second search, using the words beheading video, produced 3.75 million results. These included sites containing actual footage of Islamist fanatics committing this most barbaric of acts.
In a week when two Islamist terrorists butchered and attempted to decapitate a British soldier in the middle of a suburban London street, it is unforgivable that such poisonous materialwhich is clearly being regularly viewed by fanaticsis still freely available on Google.
Equally shameful is the way Google, which markets itself as a family friendly company, is refusing to protect youngsters from internet porn, which the Childrens Commissioner yesterday said was pressurising under-age girls into having sex against their will.

How's that government working out? Is the IRS function to target conservative and Republican donors, to intimidate them? There is too much government , too many laws. Government should be reduced not given more power with more laws.

Maybe Lois Lerner can be appointed head of the Internet Censorship Agency ( I know the article is about the UK but same principles apply)
Thanks to the refusal to go after the guilty parties who think nothing of putting their evil on the internet notwithstanding, the subsequent call is out of the statists for more government control. Same old tactic: statists let crime get out of control and wait for people to cry out for the government to actually enforce the laws, and then statists in government create new laws instead and ultimately do nothing about the problem.
Didn’t work for me.
Probably the author of the piece had previously entered “behead those who insult islam”, or something similar, and Google was simply helping him restart a previous search.
Google works in mysterious ways, not all of which are sinister.
Posting some random user’s ignorant comment as news? You must be joking....
If Google were not the "beneficiary" of special treatment from the gubmint, why would it need to waste time meeting with representatives thereof?
Perhaps because it's worried it's about to get more of that special treatment?
(Which, they say, in no longer just a river in Egypt...)
It appears on the Daily Mail's website without an author. Therefore, it must represent the opinion of the UK Daily Mail. Nuts to 'em!
Don’t blame google. Blame the millions of subhuman savages who search for bloody gore beheading Christians and Jews.
Thanks Olog-hai.
The hallmark of a liberal.
The commenter should be advocating spying on mosques. It's quite funny to see the British going around arresting people for saying mean things about Muslims on Facebook but nary a peep about what's said in many of those mosques.
“Blame the millions of subhuman savages who search for bloody gore beheading Christians and Jews.”
Content which Google maintains in vast quantity. All one needs to do is go to YouTube to see the gore and anti-Semitism which Google protects under the guise of free speech. Don’t say anything too bad about Islam however, you will be removed for that.
F Google, Google is an anti-Semitic company dedicated to Socialism. They manipulate the content you are presented with according to their political goals in Google News and in their search results.
Conservatives rarely put their money where their mouth is. Use of Google services is one example of this.
I wonder why...
To paraphrase Ayn Rand, the phrase "protect children" is the leper's bell of an approaching fascist.
Mr. Jeeves ~:” To paraphrase Ayn Rand, the phrase “protect children” is the leper’s bell of an approaching fascist.”
The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people.
As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children,
the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. Adolf Hitler
