The animal rights group PETA is hunting down personal information for anonymous commenters who allegedly defamed the organization by lambasting its pet euthanasia policy on the Huffington Post, according to a new Manhattan civil lawsuit.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the court to release names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other private details about three bloggers who reacted to an April 2 posting by a no-kill shelter advocate that's received almost 5,000 comments and 240,000 "likes" on Facebook.

Here, they admit it on their own website.........

"PETA performs the heartbreaking task of euthanizing animals who are unwanted for one reason or another"
Why don’t they go after the people behind this website?

Huffington trolls vs. PETA nutjobs.
Grab the popcorn.
Probably because it’s true. This lawsuit they are bringing is probably another one of their attention whoring tactics.
I’m on the side of truth. The HUffies win this one.

Not sure you can “defame” an organization....pretty sure you can’t slander or libel one.
It's certainly hard to see how you can defame an organization by repeating information that members of that organization have already made public.
All you need to create an account on the HuffPo is an email address. They don’t ask for your name or you phone number.
PETA = Westboro Baptist “Church” for animals
Sounds like they are friends of Obama. Intimidation by lawsuit.
Fornicate peta... hypocrites

Really? Is there anyone who doesn’t know that PETA kills about 90 per cent of the animals they can get their hands on? Sheesh. PETA ladies, get those boobies naked. That is all they are good for anyway.
We’ve never adopted directly from the shelter, but all of our current cats avoided it because of us.
The older females, their owner was a South African expat couple, and the husband was dying. He’d developed violent and sudden allergies near the end of his life, and the wife wanted to move back home once he died and couldn’t take the cats she had originally gotten from a shelter with her. She gave them to us instead. Bonded pair, 3 years old roughly when we got them, both very friendly and gorgeous cats. One’s the very first blue eyed kitty I’ve ever owned and has notable Ragdoll traits, the other appears to be part Maine Coon.
The other two were a pair of boys that we got from a local pet store that takes animals to give them a better chance than the shelter. Perfect age when we got em, 8-10 weeks, again a firmly bonded pair, but in a shelter they might not have stood a chance, being common tabbies, and one excruciatingly shy and a bit strange furthermore. His brother is the smartest cat I’ve ever seen.
According to social blueprints we are all familiar with, these same peckerheads will be manning the FEMA camp “shower rooms”
I wish I could do anything I could to destroy the PETA organization.
