GEICO Insurance Cultural Marxist Hypocrisy – Gun Manufacturer Auto Policy Cancelled Because He Is In Firearm Business….

Because he makes gun parts for a living this policy holder received a letter from GEICO cancelling his auto insurance. The letter says his auto insurance is being cancelled because he owns a company that manufactures parts for firearms:

(fyi, to insure the authenticity I have submitted a copy along with a request for verification to GEICO via email – we’ll see their response)

“The reason for cancellation is your vehicle [...] does not meet our underwriting guidelines because it is used in conjunction with a company that deals in the weapons industry

Get that?

OK, well, take a look at this:

groupthink and hysteria

It's truly sad to see how much of that goes on around here these days. I've been posting here for 5+ years, lurked for another 5+ before that. I remember the days when people's first reaction to a story like this would have been "now wait a second, what's really going on here?"

I catch that little lizard running around my property, someone is going to get a payoff from his life insurance policy. I won’t even put up a tombstone for the little freak.

He daid!

So I guess GEICO is trying to win the hearts and minds of America. Hope they buy the farm along with their lizard.

I wish I had GEICO insurance so I could cancel it.

Same here... but I've stayed clear of that bunch of a-holes since they started handing out radar guns to police departments back in the mid-'70s.

It is for his AUTO insurance. How does that relate to his business in gun parts? How is that even their business? Here's hoping he has grounds to sue their sorry hides.

Is geico going to refuse insurance to gang members or mobsters because their cars might get shot full of holes?

If existing banks and insurance providers won’t cater to the firearms industry, why not start one that does?

I love it! GOBA, the Gun Owners Bank of America.

"Sounds like the NRA and GOA need to start selling Auto, home, gun insurance policies."

Good idea. The rates would likely be lower because of a better (lower) risk clientele.

Read the letter again. It's from "GEICO Commercial Insurance," and refers to use of the vehicle "in conjunction with a company . . . " Also, if you look at the not-so-well blacked-out parts of the letter, you'll see that the named insured party is "Short Lane LLC" - a business. This was not a personal auto policy, it was a commercial auto policy.

Every commercial insurer has underwriting guidelines that restrict the types of industries they'll insure. Many will not insure "hazardous" industries, including industries that involve the transport of firearms or ammunition. That's not a political consideration, it's a business consideration. Insurers are in the business of evaluating risk.

Considering that snopes has a leftward tilt, if that remains undetermined very long, that counts as a very hard left tilt.

“Undetermined” for now.

are they now going to cancel all the policies of people that work for DoD and the various weapons sub contractors?

if this is a valid reason for denying service... I’m good for denying on grounds of political ideology

voted for 0bama? you won’t be served. don’t like it? go elsewhere

GEICO is probably the worst insurance companies in the U.S.

If you’re insured by this organization, I suggesting parting company with them.

Once more, they did NOT cancel some guy's personal auto insurance policy. They cancelled a COMMERCIAL insurance policy, because the COMMERCIAL entity was in an industry that GEICO does not insure. It's really not that hard to do a little research and avoid knee-jerk reactions....

If I’ve got my facts straight, GEICO was started during or after WW2 for govt and military people. The founder, or at least major owner, was Cafritz, of DC. He was at my wedding. Apparently a nice man who ran a good business and his wife was also highly respected.

However, later his son Conrad took over. A real Jewish leftist liberal married to a black nationalist woman (she liked to look like a Qtip). They were the Liberal Left establishment in DC. Eventually they divorced. She was a nasty piece of work (believe her correct name was Peggy Cooper).

Don’t know who runs the business today, but it was always a funder of the Democrats, crooks and all (in DC politics, you automatically assume that most leading Democrats are crooks, not that they are honest.)

#48 So what? The man is not driving a gun. The car/driver is insured. The manufacturer has his own business insurance policies to cover workplace liabilities.

They are two different things.

Well, I'm in the middle of a phone call with USAA Insurance.
And I asked them right up front:
"Does your insurance company have any issues with working with gun owners or people heavily invested in the firearms industry?"
Her reply was, and I quote: "No. Not at all."

Are you suggesting GEICO will not insure commercial accounts involving hazardous material, explosives, fuel, bio-hazard, military hardware, etc?

Thank you for that. Now we need an address so we can cut off his fat ass from food, water and power.

#48 So what? The man is not driving a gun. The car/driver is insured. The manufacturer has his own business insurance policies to cover workplace liabilities.

A commercial auto insurance policy covers vehicles used for commercial purposes. If a company's commercial uses of a vehicle include transporting items that the insurer deems risky (based on their actuarial analysis), then the insurer is free to decide not to offer coverage to that company. Many insurers do not offer commercial coverage to companies that transport hazardous items, and many define "hazardous" to include firearms and/or ammunition. Just like many companies won't offer coverage to companies that transport hazardous materials.

GEICO is, apparently, one of those companies - its commercial insurance coverage is aimed at white-collar businesses (fleet vehicles, etc.) and very light industry. It is entirely plausible, then, that a firearms manufacturer simply is not within their desired risk protocol, and thus does not qualify under their underwriting guidelines.
