WHY GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS ARE OUR MAIN PROBLEM
Vanity | 1/8/2013 | Dick Bachert

A story that plays into where we are now bears recitation. I’m working from memory here and some of the details may not be precisely correct but the take away message has stuck with me all these years.

In August, 1977, a small church in Louisville, Nebraska – Faith Baptist – was raided by armed agents of the state Department of Education for running a Christian school. The ostensible reason for the raid was that they were NOT adhering to the state “requirement” that ALL schools and teachers be “certified” by the state. A judge issued an order that the school be closed. They remained open and the raid ensued. The teachers and 17 students children were terrorized as they were held at gunpoint on the floor. The pastor, one Everett Sileven, was arrested and held in jail for some time.

Public pressure forced his release and he began a crusade the effects of which are still felt today in the Christian and home school communities.

Here’s the take away message about which I have the clearest memory: Pastor Sileven appeared on a TV debate program to defend his church school. Also there was an official of the Nebraska Department of Education. At one point, either the moderator or Pastor Siliven turned to the school bureaucrat and asked the real reason why the state had such a problem with their small church school?

Without missing a beat, through a sneer anyone who has visited the DMV will recognize, the bureaucrat declared (and I’m paraphrasing): “Because you are denying the state schools needed money. And because you are educating children outside the public school system, in the world we’re designing for the future, THEY WON’T FIT IN!”

Dwell on those last 4 words for a moment. If you’re curious about just what that world they were designing might look like, LOOK AROUND.

You’re living in it!!

Breaking up the left’s monopoly of the education system from Kindergarten through graduate and professional schools should be the number one long-term priority of the conservative movement.

Indeed, it must be! I am on the Internet almost daily urging conservatives to WAKE UP!

Government schools are one of our most serious threats to freedom. We must SHUT THEM DOWN!

( Yeah! I am shouting, jumping up and down, and having a fit. Why are conservatives asleep to the danger?)

Yes. I firmly believe it was intentional-—as they used Hegelian Dialectics to “progress” to the legal system and “educational” systems we have now——to actually destroy the minds of children and remove all Rationality from Rule of Law. There is no “Right Reason” concept from Natural Law-—in our Legal system. We have irrational, faulty logic which says Vice is Virtue now.

Any subject whose title is followed by the word “Education” should raise red flags to any conservative.

And.....We now have a nation sooooo befuddled that they put Obama into office. Yuri Besmenov called it “demoralization”.

It really is child abuse.

It is child abuse. Our parents, grand parents, and great grandparents wouldn't have had any trouble calling it what it is .

Unfortunately, Yuri Besmenov was right. We are now demoralized nation. Our citizens can no longer tell up from down or good from evil. The government schools have been nearly 100% successful in their mission.

Yes, I know there are many great teachers out there (”teachers”...not “educators”).
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They are not great.

Great teachers would never work for an institution that uses the threat of police action to **force** children into godless and socialist-model K-12 schools.

Great teachers would NEVER force children to think and reason godlessly, as children must just to cooperate in the godless school.

Great teachers would NEVER force children into a socialist-model, single-payer school where the children risk learning to be comfortable with socialism. Gee! If the socialist-model school can give them tuition-free schooling, why not use government force to get **lots** of free stuff.

Great teachers would NEVER support a system that uses the threat of police action to force taxpayers to pay for the godless and socialist indoctrination of children.

Personally, I have never met a “great” government teacher. I have met only evil, stupid, or Useful Idiot teachers. And...I have made a personal decision. I will not have one for a friend. ( I don't have abortion workers for friends either.)
