Think you’re right.

If he couldn’t get them to pass this bill, he’s finished.

Downside to that is Cantor is next in line. He grins like a jackass as much as Boehner cries like Tammy Faye.

Conceding the meme that the top 1% does not contribute enough is sheer idiocy. BUT, that’s John Boehner. Besides, the GOP has already passed THEIR plan months ago. Ovomit wants to throw America over another fiscal cliff, while blaming the GOP. Don’t you realize this yet? Bob

RE :”I see.”

You see?? LOL,

You see that I have a job and pay taxes and so I deserve this tax increase?

Have you thought about trying to improve your own life rather than be envious of others?

****One freeper just told me in a comment that I am lucky-to make enough to pay taxes and should welcome a tax increase****

Please don’t put words in peoples mouths. He only said you should be thankful to make enough to pay taxes.

Putting words in others mouths is a very liberal thing to do.

Elect a New Speaker!

I think it time to have a new Speaker of the House. Sooner the better.

Don't see where that was conceded. But protecting 99.8% of taxpayers was mentioned.

Ovomit wants to throw America over another fiscal cliff, while blaming the GOP. Don’t you realize this yet?

Of course and this vote failure gives him more cover to do so.

Well, the tax rates are just going to go up to where they were before the Bush Tax Cuts were passed. It will be the Clinton Tax rates. The economy was great then, right? I want taxes cut too, but at least when the tax cuts for the rich expire, everyone will realize that the tax cuts were actually for everyone.

This is exactly what he said, here:

surprised when our taxes go up as a result of its defeat? Any of them?
.......
You make enough to pay taxes on? Be thankful.

I asked you what YOU would have done. Vote for this nonsense, the attack on the top .2% of job creators and wealth producers?

No, no, if Boehner goes, Cantor and McCarthy go with him, otherwise it would just be new boss same as the old boss. The Boehner regime consists of Cantor, McCarthy, and Paul Ryan. There are over 150 GOP House members who are not part of the Boehner regime and they should be the ones taking over.

I don't engage in the sin of envy, or worry.

I'm glad you've got it. Sorry you are going to take a hit. Make hay while the sun shines.

Your ox is next up to be gored.

It happens.

Of course, my house and property and what I own are paid for and clear, so I'll weather the tough times without too much problem, besides the local taxes.

Too bad the GOP nominated Romney and pushed and changed rules and cheated to get him as a losing candidate.

Maybe next time, someone could run a conservative.

This bill would have basically admitted that the Bush-Era, and tax cuts in general caused the current economic issues we face. Issues caused by government expansion. (spending)

The "fiscal Cliff" will go a long way toward cutting the size of government.

It will hurt like hell but I believe in the long run we will be better off.

All bubbles have to pop eventually. Even government bubbles.

We had a GOP Congress from 1995-2001 under Clinton who constrained his fiscal predilections. But even with GOP control of Congress, the economy would have taken a big hit thanks to the Clinton confiscation but for the fact that the dot.com and housing bubbles were raging. Bob
