They’re the ones who are accusing most House Republicans of “caving” to the Democrats, even as some of them prefer that the Democrats get their way entirely

In other words, there's a segment that is willing for thousands of middle-class businesses to go under just so they can be "right" semantically. Sounds about right.

RE :”Sucks for those of us on the correct side of the issue, but we are not going to make any gain without the pain that mandates it.”

I certainly wouldnt call what will happen the next few years a 'gain'

I am no fan of Boner as he is very weak and slow but I can see now that the united Dem party cares about only one thing: winning, and getting their agenda passed even if that means planning for the next election two years away. They play to win so they will win

The R party is more interested in symbols than winning long term, So in 2015 and 2016 Obama’s last two years he will have a Pelosi controlled House and likely 59 to 61 in the Senate to finish his job.

And no I am not blaming this failed (<$1M tax cut extension aka tax increase) trick Boner tried to play on Obama as the cause of this coming disaster, on either side.
But it makes clear how the next 4 years will play out. Rs will wound and kill each other and the united planning Dems only have to bayonet the remaining wounded.

Not necessarily, because not only would it have protected 99.8% (including the huge number of businesses from $250,000 - $1 M) it would have pressured Obama to implement more ENTITLEMENT CUTS which may have been the more beneficial catalyst for the economy.

Boehner was trying to play chess. The dissenters didn’t get it.

They got it all right-—that Boehner is an idiot who doesn’t recognize that Obama is a Communist who will not tolerate dissent.

who will not tolerate dissent.

Looks like Obama was just forced to tolerate raising taxes on only the top tax rate and giving in on estate taxes and NOT extending the payroll tax cut...all things he said he would never bend on.

Obama is getting some wins...but getting some losses too. Let's see how he does when the onus is on spending ONLY next time around without the tax cut debate.

(BTW...Dear Leader also had to tolerate a provision NOT to allow terrorists onto US soil just this morning...something he really did not want to sign.)
