We heard a lot of "OhNoes" during the the closing days of the election campaign and I'm sure some of that was designed to assuage any fears the republicans might have regarding THEIR standing in the race.
As it turned out, much of the OhNoes was boojit and we had our ass handed to us.
Mitt goes about his life and America sinks deeper into coup and despair.
If there's ANYthing to this article, it's the democrats leaving have had enough of being scum swallowing whores and want to get out and try to have a quiet last years of life.
I think a lot of dems played the game because it HAD been a game ... until zero entered the arena.
He'll be 90 in 2014.
He'll be 96 in 2020.
2014 is an off-year election, and off-year elections are the only chance the 'pubbies ever have of picking up a statewide office in New Jersey. Maybe they're hoping that NJ has a 'rat governor by then.
Is it at all possible for force congress to get on obamacare?
-——Lautenberg has already secured an endorsement from Schumer for 2014.——
That line made me laugh....
Harkin’s not going anywhere.
They’ll find him slumped over at his desk in D. C.
The standard rule is that no US Senator ever wants to retire unless he would likely lose reelection.
If his seat’s at all contended, holding out for extra party promises of help and pork for his state before admitting that he’s running again is fairly usual as well.
Yeah, since they haven’t passed a budget in 3-plus years, focus on the important stuff.
Schumer and Reid hate each other anyway.
[Jay] Rockefeller urged coal companies to "face reality" and stop using scare tactics to oppose federal regulations, a stark contrast to Sen. Joe Manchinâs (D-W.Va.) stance toward the administration. Manchin won re-election easily this year by campaigning against its environmental policies... The next election cycle poses a threat to Reid's tenure as majority leader because Democrats have to defend 20 seats while Republicans have 13 up for re-election.
Let 'em die in office.
There are 30 Republican governors who will get to appoint their replacements.
Question: I wonder if Christie would appoint a Republican to replace Lautenberg?
Term Limit them from orbit. It’s the only way to make sure.
How will that be any different than today?
I have a feeling that 2014 is going to be another Tea Party like year. It will be another off presidential election where informed voters will go to the polls instead of masses of dumbed down, stupid, ignorant Americans who voted for this joke of a president for a second time.
Naturally, we should do everything we can to fire ObaMao's rubber stamps. However, there is no way the U.S. Senate will turn over enough to get the 67 votes needed to impeach Zero. Look for him to ignore congress and do as he pleases.
Interestingly, the pro-abortion, liberal RINO Snowe, was replaced by an apparent pro-life Democrat. Other than the fact that an increase of Senators with an R by their names could have given us control of the committees, the loss of Snowe isn't that big a blow to the Republicans.
Too bad Scott Brown ran away from the fact that he was a Republican in his race. He tried to position himself as an independent who doesn't always vote with the party. Obviously voters didn't give a rat's rear end about 'voting with the party', because they replace Brown with one of the most radical Democrats imaginable! There's no question with whom she'll vote!
I'm sure you're right. Every six years, like clockwork, The Dungheap shows up in Iowa in country bumpkin costume and convinces the stoopid sheeple to send him back to cancel out Grassley's votes on everything except big government ag subsidies.
LOL, Clinton certainly was and, as far as I know, still would be a top contender for that particular honor.
And, frankly, I wouldn’t be so sure that statement wouldn’t have gained him more votes than it lost. ;^)
You’ve visited Clinton, then ?
