Arizona Gun Store: If You Voted For Barack Obama, “Turn Around and Leave”
Townhall,com ^ | November 17, 2012 | Daniel Doherty

Posted on 11/17/2012 7:35:54 PM PST by Kaslin

Here’s the image of the day, courtesy of The Blaze:

An Arizona gun store has a simple message for Barack Obama voters: you’re not welcome here.

The Southwest Shooting Authority in Pinetop, Ariz. posted a sign on its door and took out a newspaper ad declaring that if you voted for the president last week, you’re not allowed in.

“If you voted for Obama, please turn around and leave! You have proven that you are not responsible enough to own a firearm!” the sign states.

Owner Cope Reynolds conceded that he can’t really tell who voted for Obama unless they “own up to it” — but if they do, they’re out.

“If they don’t say anything, we’ll never know,” Reynolds said in an email to the Phoenix New Times. “However, if they own up to it, we will not serve them.”

He said in an explanation on AmmoLand that he did it to “demonstrate once again that the bottom line for our business is principle, not money. Yes, it has been damaging at times but our values are intact.”

You can read more about the Southwest Shooting Authority here.

Thanks, Kaslin...

I’m an NRA instructor, and turned away a student who wanted individual instruction just last week for the same reason...

I was diplomatic, but told him I did not have time or interest in training him because he had supported Obama...

It’s up to me to decide the people I provide firearms training, and a vote for Obama is a sign of stupidity or self before nation in my humble opinion...

In the future, all prospective students will be asked the same question...If that costs me, so be it...

I was at the store the other day, and there was a lady behind me who had one item. I had a huge cart full. I always let people go ahead of me. This time I asked her if she voted for Obama before I let her go in front of me. When she said yes with a smile on her face- I said- ok, I don’t meed to invite you to my polite society. And she just stood there, sort of speechless. My filter for being nice to Obamaphone voters is gone. Gone. It is totally gone.

The sad part is many here would be surprised by the number of employees working for the various defense contractors who actually voted for Obama. Or maybe most here aren’t surprised by that anymore.

Sometimes I dream of living in a place where people have that much pride in common sense. But I live in New York, where the majority will conclude that sign is racist.

Sigh.

The comments I read at the site lead me to believe these people are operating at about the same intellectual, ideological and maturity level as your average 13 year old.

They want to uphold “democracy” by encouraging the Gov’t to go after this guy for posting signs they disagree with because Obama won.

Logic is in short supply over there.

I asked a close unenrolled family member who he voted for...

he said “0bama... but, I was really hoping the other guy would win”.

Indicates to me a blindness going into the voting booth of someone who should know better; someone who should have done a bit more due diligence. Note that they could say the name of the guy they voted for, but not the “other guy”.

Multiply this instance by 100’s of thousands, and here we are.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
I don’t know how they did it

Just kind of have a sheepish grin on your face and casually mention - loud enough for others to be able to hear -

“That was some election huh? if you get a big grin and the answer is YEA MAN thumbs down.......if the person didn’t like the result he will probably kind of scowl and say yeah, I guess so.

The local news(?) paper has the word Democrat in the title and they have taken to put advertising stickers on the front page.

I purchase paper and in view of the clerk I take the sticker off and place it over the Democrat part of the Banner.
If the clerk scowls or shows ‘how dare you’ amazement, I manage to not go back to that particular store if at all possible.....

I was in the grocery store the day after the election and was standing in the checkout line to pay for my few items. There was a minority female in front of me, maybe 25 years old. She was singing the praises of ears and obamacare. So I asked her if she had a job. She said yes. I asked how the increase in taxes would affect her. She said, I kid you not, “My taxes ain’t going up, the rich are going to pay for it”.

All I could do was to shake my head.

I just meant general location, like Phoenix or Tucson or Flagstaff, etc. I’m living in the town where Bristol Palin bought her house a few years ago (which she sold recently), but before that we lived in Scottsdale for 14 years. We’re also SoCal refugees, and other than the ocean, we don’t miss California at all.

My filter for being nice to Obamaphone voters is gone. Gone. It is totally gone.

You and me both. I refuse to acknowledge them in any way in my personal or professional life.

Personal life that's easy: I just cut them off and no longer communicate with them in any way. Period.

Professional life is a bit harder, so I make them jump through every bureaucratic hoop there is @ work. I'm the Principal Infrastructure Systems Architect (de facto Chief Architect) at the bank, so I make them fill out every requirements document, funding request, systems diagram, you name it before I'll even talk to them. The bureaucracy where I work can be stifling if you don't know how to work through the system and leverage your personal relationships to get work done.

The Obamanuts will spend weeks filling out paperwork having it rejected time and time again for not being completed properly before I'll even meet with them. My more Conservative friends at the bank know that I'm doing it to the Obamanuts deliberately and they're starting to do it also. It's really quite fun from my perspective.

To add to my #32, at first I thought why punish someone that is working etc BUT...

For starters when going into a restaurant and they have someone to seat you, it is hard to say you don’t want to be served by a BO backer - cause ‘they’ still have to handle your food.

However if the store itself seems to ‘back’ BO just don’t frequent it if possible and as to the waitress/waiter if you can casually get out of them who they back and if it is BO just cut 5% or better yet, stick to the 15% and make it 10% for obamabots.
I usually tip $3 for a meal (breakfast/lunch) under $10 then a $5 min or 30% whichever is greater - provided, of course, service and food was good....

You could tell them why, and then, if they really tick you off, make the tip 5%....

Let the individual PAY for what they wanted.

Keep in mind the Democrats will punish those that do not give them money or give money to the Republicans. Obvious examples of this are WalMart and Microsoft.

I am of the firm opinion that all political contributions should come from people. No money from corporations or unions. No money from big business at all.
