Demand a Balanced Budget Amendment NOW !

Sure, demand it and see what you get. You do realize that the White House and the Senate are under the control of the Democrats and they are not the least interested in balancing the budget.

So, why say such things? Totally unrealistic.

The only private sector industry I see getting the money they want without any consideration for the jobless condition is home owner’s insurance companies.

I have seen over the last three years a 45% increase in my h/o premiums, with any accountability. This is the Florida Farm Bureau that claims to be a non-profit but all their staff gets raises every year while my pay is almost at a standstill.

What does it take?

I’m at about $2500 a year premium, up 45% in three years.
$30,000 hurricane deductible, and no sink-hole coverage.

Why say such things ? Because reason and sanity must prevail and we must demand such measures forcefully and unapologetically. Keeping quiet will not move us in that direction.

Why not wait until there is a reasonable chance of success? Only when the Senate is in Republican hands and both houses have enough votes to override a presidential veto is there a prayer. You’re wasting your breath until then.

The likelihood of a veto-proof majority in either body for the GOP is next to none. A Balanced Budget Amendment needs to be done NOW.

I didn’t say it was likely. Just pointing out the situation needed to pass a balanced budget amendment. But OK, OK. Let me know when you get it done.

I say give it to them, and double, nay, triple...scratch that..quadruple down on the raise and put ALL those assholes into a MUCH nicer HIGHER tax bracket. Lets get balls deep into playing this funny money game and let it ALL crash
I WANT the crash to come. I want it to come on MY watch so that my sons may have a chance at something other than taxed servitude if the wish to remain Americans.

I have none, and there is none. That’s what I’ve been trying to convey to you.

There will be no balanced budget amendment, not in our lifetimes.

Well I’m trying to offer a viable solution. The alternative is to sit quietly and wait for a complete collapse with this continuous unrestrained spending.

Let me just say first off, that I am a 15 year, non-union, federal worker for an agency that will not be affected by sequestration. This is my attitude...since 2009, I had been personally preparing for some kind of furlough to happen to fed workers for the last 3 years. (I’ve been living and budgeting based on 24 pay periods instead of 26) I seen the writing on the wall since local, county, and state employees have experienced 10 day furloughs the last couple years. I am thankful for my employment, and in this economy, the “expectation” of a raise is ridiculous. I really can’t believe how so many people could be so clueless.

Fire half of them. Give half of the fired workers’ pay to the unfired workers. Budget cut. Fiscal cliff avoided. Federal workers get pay raise. Done and done. Also legalize pot and tax it.
