If you want to understand the war on masculine behavior, it is pretty simple. Feminists believed that men had it easy so they insisted that men treat them like men. Men did, and they didn't like it. It wasn't easy, could be quite nasty, and they often couldn't compete by male standards. So feminists changed their tune. Since they couldn't compete with men being treated like men, there must be something wrong with men, so they set out to change male behavior into something that they can compete with.
To be a conservative, above all else, is to believe in the founding ideals of America. It is more of a way of life than an ideology. It is based on the idea that America's purpose is to provide an evironment for the american people to live their lives, raise their children, worship God, and practice their culture....with as little interference from distant centers of authority as is possible. Neoconservativism, which is not really conservative at all, sees every bit of this as antisocial and immoral. They harbor a megalomaniacal ideology that demands that individual americans sacrifice themselves on the altar of world empire. Who cares about the constitutional limitations on our federal govt? Who cares about fiscal responsibility? Who cares about the warnings of our founders that we avoid foreign entanglements? The peasants job is to pay outrageous taxes, give away our freedom, and fight their wars....they are the philosopher kings of Plato's cave, and we are ignorant peasants. These neocons are not really that different from the marxists from which they so recently sprang. We are now entering a conflict for the very soul of our nation.
The Left does want not education. An educated electorate will reject the Left's genitally driven, emotional hegemony.
The stereotype people don't want to deal with is the one that comes with that ingrained chip--the "diva" attitude--the woman of color who are difficult, talk over others and in their face, intimidates, is loud and obnoxious, and claims discrimination at any slight or missed oppurtunity. This stereotype, and I have seen it fulfilled many time, is of the black female as bully. Something tells me if black women would stop behaving as diva bullies they might get more respect.
Rap is nothing more, or less, than another symptom of the decay and rot of what was once our society. First, let me state unequivocally that I DO NOT CARE what people do in the privacy of their own homes. I support the notion that you want to live your life in a way that makes you happy. You know, that whole "pursuit of" thing. In fact, in this great country that's a concept that I and many others are willing to die for. But at some point, you pushed it too far. You weren't happy with your own pursuit of happiness and so you came gunning for mine.
Now you are trying to push my family into condoning or celebrating what you do in your private life. I JUST DON"T CARE. Leave us alone.
Do not force me to hold you up as some kind of paragon of virtue for whatever it is you do and watch you parade it around in public. I don't care if you are straight or gay. Just get it out of my face and away from my children and let us live in peace and oblivion. They deserve a childhood free of the complexities of sexual politics.
In fact, let my children have a childhood free from sexual discourse of any kind. They will learn soon enough. Why, why must they know everything when they are in preschool? That makes me feel violated and angry. Over an issue that I was perfectly happy to leave well enough alone. It has disastrous consequences.
I used to be able to simply avoid it. That made some mad. So you brought it into the streets, and into every form of public entertainment and discourse. I feel like you have become some sort of unhinged stalker. We have tuned out over 60% of all TV channels and TVLand was our last refuge. It is nearly too late for that. We now mostly watch old TV on DVDs. I can't even trust ads to not throw it in your face on the kids channels. It's not that we don't like YOU, it's that we don't want to be privy to your PRIVATE life.
I canceled my subscription to BH&G because it was filled with gay couples. Fine, beautiful house more power to you. I learn from many of you and always have. It's always been there. But at some point, it quit being polite. Now my kids pick it up and thumb through it and ask me questions.
If this was about love, I'd be with you on it. We should love our neighbors. We should respect our neighbors. Even when we disagree with their "lifestyles." But it's not. It's about sex and exhibitionism and predatory practices. And you can't tell me otherwise. Because if it was about love, you would be satisfied with love. You would be happy to have finally come to the end of your pursuit of happiness. But you got there and discovered you aren't happy, so now you are trying to blame it on me.
So, one more time. STAY OUT OF MY FACE. If you are secure in your lifestyle, you don't need my approval. If you need my blessing for whatever you are doing with those you love, you have bigger problems than me.

A gun out on the street won't shoot anyone. It has to be picked up by someone who is souless enough to shoot it and not care if he or she hits an innocent child. That's not to say that guns shouldn't be kept out of the hands of gangbangers. They should. But to solve the problem of violence, you need to do something about the generation of gangbangers.
