Yes, I guess that is the way it’s written, but the way I see it, secession is the exact moment when Obama’s jurisdiction ends. Maybe asking is just a diplomatic way of telling.

I like this except that it won’t work. You are underestimating what we are facing in this second term of destruction. The looming debt crisis and eventual collapse of the dollar for one. Can a southern state print its own currency when the USA adopts the Euro or something similar?
What about when they come for your guns? I doubt they’ll accept a state’s saying “no and get off my porch” for an answer.
And higher and higher taxes on those of us who are still working is a given. You can’t just not pay your taxes. Try it and you will find out why they call the IRS the most brutal collection agency on planet Earth.
I saw in an article that Texas is considering it! If anything, maybe the threat of it would calm some of these petty tyrants down! Who knows?

Most of the large blue areas in Arizona and New Mexico are Indian reservations. Utah too I believe. Indians vote Democrat. By and large.
