Why the low Republican turnout? (vanity)

Posted on 11/07/2012 8:40:52 AM PST by TigerClaws

This was within reach. Obama had ten million fewer votes than 2008. Despite huge rallies and intensity, Rs didn't show up.

Was it... 1. Insufficient ground game? Hundreds of millions on tv instead of laser beam ground game on our base?

2. Too moderate. Romney didn't motivate the conservatives.

3. The Mormon thing. Evangelicals stayed home.

4. The gender gap. Romney didn't close it.

Despite the MSM spin, this was a winnable election and we lost the chess match.

Thoughts?

I just heard back from the party chair and it sounds like there is an explanation...there were three pages on the balllot and a lot of people left page three blank so each of those counts as a blank page, but the other pages of the ballot are counted.

I think many are deluding themselves. The left has a coalition of wealthy liberals, takers and shallow women who think Republicans want to co-opt their vaginas that exceeds our ability to turn out more votes in national elections. Based just on 2008 they had a bank of 9 million more votes to withdraw from and I have little doubt they could have done so if necessary. It is simply much easier to herd urban votes than it is to herd suburban and rural votes.

There is no way to overcome this and remain a conservative party with conservative principles. so I predict that when I’m dead and gone there will still be two major parties but one will be center left and the other will be far left until it all comes crashing down. Violently I might add.

I hear that voting machines in North Carolina, will not vote the President ticket when you hit the “one party” button.

I don’t know about Ohio, because I’ve always ignored any “one party” button -— because I actually go over every item on the ballot, particularly the local judges and issues. I don’t trust the “one party” button; and btw, I do watch the tape.

It’s possible that the northeast Ohio counties, were using “North Carolina” machines that would not pick a President when “One Button Voting.” If I manage to find info about that, I’ll post it here.

BTW, that Nation you see out there? It’s turning blue.

13% of the electorate yesterday was black. 10% were Latino. Obama won 39% of the women. Overwhelmingly he won single women. The racial and cultural demographic is/has permanently changed. With each generation, there are fewer and fewer people who attend church. Indeed, we are turning blue.

It’s easy to figure out.

Did the same thing in 2008.

Outside of your complaints of “birthers” and Karl Rove, I’m not sure what it is that you think conservatives are supposed to do. You make the charge that somehow we conservatives have a monopoly on stupidity. Seriously, you don’t think the left has issues FAR exceeding the right in that arena? I’m not a “birther” but I know they voted. How many people that think like you (whatever that even is) showed up to vote?

Name a few more things we conservatives need to shore up on. We have you down for “No birthers, no Karl Rove, no Fox News” but those are just peripherals. What can we do to get people to understand that $16 trillion and skyrocketing is actually bad while not hurting their pretty little feelings?
