Skip to comments.Second Obama term would confront fiscal crisis before inauguration (LIARS!!!)

At a Friday morning rally in Hilliard, Ohio, Democratic former Gov. Ted Strickland exhorted the audience to vote for President Barack Obama because GOP hopeful Mitt Romney and vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan have "to fake compassion."
If you think that sounds unusually cutting, go a few hundred miles across the country to a Romney rally where Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, told his home state crowd he wonders of the president, "How much do you really love the country you are in charge of?"
These aren't average campaign season contrasts. Coming from mainstream political leaders, they reflect a bitter mood in the political class that will make governing hard no matter who wins on Election Day.
Adding to the level of difficulty, the partisan balance of Congress is likely to remain essentially the same. Democrats are poised to retain control of the Senate but with a smaller margin. Republicans are expected to retain power in the House also with a narrower majority. Divided control with parties wielding even less power in each chamber means consensus will be even more illusory.
If Obama is victorious on Tuesday, he will govern a deeply divided nation, and he will not have a grace period to heal post-election wounds. That's because looming deadlines demand that the president barrel straight into a headlock with Congress over budget cuts and tax changes shorthanded by Washington as the "fiscal cliff." That fight has the potential to exacerbate already raw feelings.
Senior Democrats say the president's approach to fiscal cliff negotiations depends on how Republicans react to the election. Some believe an Obama victory will force a self-evaluation by the Republican Party.

How laser beam, summer of recovery - of Zero
If Romney wins, the MSM will suddenly discover monster budget deficits, record unemployment, frozen markets, homelessness and declining home market values.
They’ll be asking why a Republican President-elect isn’t taking action to fix those problems. They will make Romney’s life as miserable as they made Obama’s a breeze. I know them like the back of my hand.
CNN is setting us up for what is to come.
...and even if Romney carves out a compromise with congressional Democrats, the media will portray the solution as impacting the poor, minorities and nation in the most negative way.
“If Obama is victorious on Tuesday, he will govern a deeply divided nation”
I see they are still shills for Zero.
And make it worse.
If Obama wins, he will get nothing done for the next four years because half the country hates his guts.
If Romney wins, the Left will do everything it can to make him a failure as payback for derailing O’s agenda.
Whoever wins, we’re facing years of gridlock and conflict.
I am optimistic that we will take the Senate. With the House, the Senate, and the President all Republican, we have the opportunity to accomplish great things (mostly the repeal of horrible Dem things).
The Republicans saw what the Dems did in 2008 when they were in charge. They saw the mistakes they made. Let’s hope the Republicans are wise enough not to repeat those mistakes.
They need to :
1. Repeal 0bamacare.
2. Clean house at DOJ. (Fire all the leftwing judges, like Clinton did with conservatives.)
3. Clean house at State Department.
4. Rein in spending.
5. Rein in government.
6. Prosecute and convict high level officials for high level crimes.
That’s just for starters. They have their jobs cut out for them.
Well, yes and no. True leadership, I feel, can break through that.
We just haven’t SEEN real leadership.
I hope we’re going to get it. I hope Romney becomes president of ALL, and that ALL get behind him.
I miss the America we once knew — where most everyone was usually behind the president, and we knew HE was behind US — and we were unified.
I really do cry tears sometimes — I miss the old America ....
Any sane person would have to ask themselves this: What took them so long if they thought this was a problem? They’ve had nearly four years, and they just want to get to this now????
Here, get your free phones, free food stamps, free medical care, free amnesty! All you have to do is vote Obama and he will make sure someone else pays your bill. Free! Free!
Get em while you can!
Some believe an Obama victory will force a self-evaluation by the Republican Party.
Hahaha. Try this...
Some believe an Obama collapse will force a self-evaluation by the Democrat Party.
I wouldn’t put faith in either one.
My first thoughts too when reading the headline. Why wait until after the election to address the economy?
And this is going to cause someone to vote for the One?
“2. Clean house at DOJ.”
That should include the midgets and people with psychiatric problems that Holder was actively and specifically searching for to employ.
What a bat shit crazy dem.
Mitt has a finger too..
In addition, unemployment benefits expire at the end of december!
