Oh my: Romney up 7 in new VA poll

Bump!
thanks for the post
Mitt up now.
Wish I was there. Paul Ryan .... if he’s there, deserves a hero’s welcome. The guy WON last night ... even if the media is giving him a draw on substance. Obama/Biden had two goals:
1. Keep Ryan from talking & distract him, thus Biden’s constant interruptions, hand waving, snarky half-under-the-breath remarks.
2. Cause Ryan to lose his cool and get some Dem ad film of him being angry, upset - something that looked ‘scary’ to add to their mediscare tactics.
Ryan kept talking, stayed on point, despite the interruptions and being talked over by BOTH Biden and Radditz. Ryan kept his composure for the whole 90 minutes - how he did it, I don’t know, but it tells me he is a remarkable man. It should be a joyous rally!!
Oh good he is delving into Benghazi!
He is going to give Obama a change to “fix it from the outside” LOL!
Where in Virginia is he?
Crowd size? Forget polls, keep an eye on the size of crowds both camps are attracting!!
I watched the entire hearing the other day - I am outraged at the lies and that Obama/Clinton et al would put the national security of the country at risk just to further Obama’s re-election, not to mention putting Americans trying to serve America (whether I agree with them or not) deliberately in harms way and in a manner that leaves them defenseless. I’d like to dump (for starters) Obama, Biden Clinton, Lamb & Kennedy on the streets of Benghazi with NO escort.
I must say I really am VERY pleased with this speech and LOVE Romney’s patriotism!!!!!!
It’s so wonderful to contemplate having a president whose genuine LOVE for America shines out of his eyes .... you can see and feel it with Romney.
Bravo! Great speech and it is so fantastic to see a man who is so presidential in his demeanor, his beliefs, his appearance, his intelligence, and his values.
How wonderful it will be to call him President Romney.
He should consider a stop at the upcoming Tiger game in Detroit to squeeze Obama a bit tighter here in Michigan.
VA Ping!
If you want on/off the VA Ping List, please freepmail me.
If you see posts of interest to Virginians, please ping me.
Thanks!
I honestly think that Ryan was shocked at how disrespectful Biden was. Biden was acting like a heckler and it must have been very distracting to Ryan. Eventually Ryan caught on to Biden’s game and realized he had a golden opportunity to appear as the adult in the room. At that point, Ryan took control of the runaway horse and through calmness and confidence subdued it.
Biden’s MO was to unnerve, distract, and goad Ryan into showing irritation or anger or cow him into reticence, but Ryan didn’t bite. In that sense, Biden failed, even though on substance Biden did show command of the issues.
Ryan had an advantage.
For years he’s been doing town halls across his Cong. district...over the last few years they’ve been infested with rude and obnoxious OWS types that would heckle and interrupt in an effort to throw him off.
Ryan acted last night just as he does in his town halls...above it.
It reflects a lot worse on the perpetrator.
I totally agree with you. It is one thing to hear about someone’s behavior and I’m sure Ryan was told what to expect. It is a totally different thing when it actually happens to you and I think it took about 30 minutes for Ryan to recover from the shock of having dirt actually thrown in his face. The guy is SO decent, so polite, so respectful, such a good guy .... it had to be a real shock that Biden, who I’m sure he’s met in his time on the Hill, could act in such a despicable way.
This is also how criminals take advantage of/prey on people. You, being a decent person, expect a ‘response in kind’ and it is a total shock that takes a while to comprehend when someone who has no conscience, no care for your well-being as a human being, attacks (either actually in a crime or verbally as in the debate). Fortunately, Ryan had 90 minutes, not 30 seconds and got himself together - which, being the guy he is, I would expect. He’s going to win a lot of hearts and minds from last night, even if it doesn’t show up immediately in the polls.
I'd like to see Romney do a 60-second campaign spot decrying the failure of statist liberal socialism, punctuated by images of today's Detroit. He could personalize it with a connection to his years of living there. Nowhere more appropriate would be his earlier slogan of "We Can Do Better." The dems could never counter it.
