U.S. weapons that were exported to Mexico as part of the controversial "Fast and Furious" program ended up in the hands of Colombia crime syndicate Oficina de Envigado, reported newspaper El Tiempo Monday.
According to the newspaper, investigations by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) have established that some of the weapons found during the arrest of Oficina boss "Sebastian" were part of the thousands of arms lost in the Fast and Furious program.
"Two rifles that were seized in February with "Frank," the brother of Sebastian also are part of the tracking operations of the ATF, the same with 14 Five-seven guns we have found in several raids," an anonymous high-ranking source within Colombia's National Police was quoted as saying by El Tiempo.
The source added that ATF agents are in Medellin where the Oficina operates and inspect every seized firearm found in raids in Colombia's second largest city.
In the U.S., a House Judiciary Committee and the Department of Homeland Security have been investigating the Fast and Furious scandal which is held responsible for the export of at least 2,000 firearms.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Thank King Obama for arming our enemies. Colombian drug industry that ends up in America.
Another country heard from ...
Well I guess that Holder will rule out Mexico and Columbia for his next vacation . The world is gettting smaller for him .
And I’ll bet they were just shocked at this news. Yeah./s
As I read this article I am thinking about not only those of ours killed, but the reported hundreds of Mexicans killed, and wondering how many Colombians have been killed by this action of the Obama/Holder/Napolitano, and whomever else DOJ BATFE that was intended quite apparently to create the basis for the nullification of our Second Amendment Rights, and thus the confiscation of our guns?
This has become a major International OMG that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt the incompetence of the entire Obama Administration starting at the top.
Obama, and every single one of those participating in his alleged “Administration” must be removed from office, the entire U.S. Government must be reformed, and in compliance with the Constitution as it was written, and any crimes must be addressed, and justice served.
Does it even matter? The GOP is no longer making this an issue and Holder is going nowhere.
Boehner is a piece of S$% and wont do anything so who cares anymore?
I’m disgusted beyond words lately.
Rep. Issa now has some more evidence that Obama’s Exec. Order to protect himself and AG Holder from the US Congress might have to do with more than just gun deals with Mexican Drug Gangs.
This is the country in South America (Colombia), not theUniversity in NYC (Columbia) that Obama somehow went to. (Not to be picky, but every time we conservatives do this, it is powder for the leftists’ meme that we conservatives are backwoods idiots.)
But the obvious thing that no one EVER seems to ask is:
Why would Mexican Drug Cartels, with unlimited money and immediate access to Military-grade FULL AUTO AK and M16 style weapons from south of their OWN border, be fooling around with traceable American Semi-automatic stuff?
I mean, it’s so blatantly obvious that even the most boorish and dullest of “journalists” should be asking that question...
In a sane world, that is...
The Cartels are our Partners, not our enemies, we created them, we protect them, we protect their import routes, we launder their profits, we arm them with weapons. This has been going on for 50 years.
What ever gave you the idea they were our enemies???
Why? The drug cartels would be thrilled to protect Holder. Holder and his friends supplied them with first class American guns for .... for... what was the quid pro quo here again?
