Sarah's words.........

“…Everything I said at the 2008 convention about then-candidate Obama still stands today, and in fact the predictions made about the very unqualified and inexperienced Community Organizer’s plans to “fundamentally transform” our country are unfortunately coming true. This year is a good opportunity for other voices to speak at the convention and I’m excited to hear them. As I’ve repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box, and I intend to focus on grassroots efforts to rally Independents and the GOP base to elect Senate and House members so a wise Congress is ready to work with our new President to get our country back on the right path. This is imperative. As President Clinton said in 2008 while candidate Obama and lapdogs in the media were thrashing his wife’s record and reputation, this is “…the biggest fairy tale.” For the sake of America’s solvency and sovereignty we must close this nonsensical book in November…”- Sarah Palin

She won’t speak but McCain will. That’s real forward looking.
Insert eyeroll here.

Classy lady ... too bad they won’t let her speak — afraid she’ll outshine them, probably.

She DID quit. She can get back into the game thru a Cabinet post and/or running in 2014 for the senate seat. Otherwise she’s just an ornament-not serious.

The GOP-Es will soon be promoting Ryan as the real future of the Republican Party. I say "Not so fast". It remains to be seen how he and his family will respond to the sh!t storm that will be coming his way. He may or may not be up to it.

Meanwhile, Governor Palin will support the top of the ticket, but she won't be campaigning for it. Mark my word, she will own the undercard and will be the de facto leader of the party, regardless of what the establishment tries to say.

Nowhere in her statement does Palin say she will not speak.

The headline and the lead are shoddy BS from Reuters hacks.

Come on Sarah.
It won’t hurt ya to speak at the Rino Rodeo.
Forget Romney.
Lavish praise on Paul Ryan.
Maybe let him know what he is in for...?
Even though, I suspect he already knows.

Big mistake by the party, she is a great motivator.

She’s so gracious. But why does McCain get to speak? What does he have to say, who wants to hear him? He needs to go as far away as is possible.

No matter what Sarah thinks or feels privately, her public response, just like it is so far, will be a long run positive for her.

Sarah always takes the high road.
She instinctively knows which path is the right one.
So many could learn from her but they feel threatened by her insight and strength.

It would be unfortunate not to have Sarah speak at the convention. She is a star and the democrats fear her. She has a rare talent for connecting with folks. We need her voice and active participation these next 3 months.

I love Sarah! Always a team player, and yet not being watched closely nor held on a short leash. This ought to be good.

Sarah speaking at romney’s convention would be like Led Zeppelin opening for the Monkey’s.

Real conservatives are persona non grata at the GOP-e convention. Yet we should all fall in line for these asses.

If she was a “D” and went around crying because GTown U wasn’t going to pay for her birth control, she would be invited to speak at the Convention.

Or if she wanted to be a ‘real hero(inne)’ she could camp outside BO’s home - Oh, wait, he doesn’t go to his own home anymore - These last two D’s we have had had NO home to go to, and relied on their ‘rich’ friends and cronies to accommodate them.....WJC gave his underwear to charity, maybe BO is renting his house out?

Then, it looks like this will be the first GOP convention on television since 1976 that I won’t be watching. And it’s probably a good thing I won’t, as it will only keep stoking the fires of my new and ever-increasing anger and distrust towards the Party, now that it has basically jettisoned every core conviction that it once drew me towards it. Romney/Rove and the whole GOP establishment want nothing of small-government, reform, traditional values, the Tea Party nor Palin. Well, then they can just go burn in hell.
