Thanks to your patience and support, DIRECTV today entered into a new long-term agreement with Viacom to immediately return all the channels you had previously enjoyed.
As a result of losing the channels for nearly 2 weeks, they gave me the NFL ticket for $99.
Not bad considering I don’t watch any of their channels on a regular basis.
Too bad I didn’t miss one channel. MTV? Never. VH1? Not really. And the rest I never heard of.
You and me both.
All I can say is thank Heaven we didn’t have to miss any of the info-mercial channels! :-)
Spike Powerblock automotive shows are about I watch viacom for.
Of note TCM went to HD.
You know, I found there was nothing on any of their channels that I watched anyways. D-TV kept apologizing for the channels being offline but I missed nothing that I watch.

Goodbye Direct TV, hello Comcast. Top level with everything for $129 first year and $149 second year...plus $300 to switch.
Comcast sucks
Wow! Now I can start watching MTV again. /sarc
So glad to be done with DirecTV. Netflix, Hulu Plus and OTA antenna give me more than I can watch for just $20 per month.
Great! Thanks for the heads up.
Good luck.
around here (Indiana) they switched their name to Xfinity because the Comcast brand is so reviled
Did you have to ask for that, demand that or did they just offer it to you?
thanks.
I called complaining and got Sunday ticket for free and 18 bucks a month off my 80 dollar bill for 12 months with no contract.
Thanks for posting that. I’ve been waiting for TCMHD. I don’t think they even announced it.
I got Sunday Ticket Max for $50, plus $30 bucks a month off my bill for a year. Are you ready for some football.
I asked for it. I was connected with their retention department. Normal customer service can't/won't give breaks like the retention department does.
They also gave me free HD for a year and $5 off HBO for 6 mos. We have been with DTV for 11 years so we get whatever we ask for pretty easily.
Pig.
I wasn’t bothered but apparently my family decided to switch to Dish. Dish guy came out yesterday and worked for 5 hours setting things up so now we have hoppers and joeys and things I will never use but it is only $40 a month instead of the $80 we were paying for directTV. The only question I asked him was what channels were Fox Business and Fox News. He knew off the top of his head because he said a lot of people ask him about those channels LOL!!
I am 1999
They replaced my entire set up last year . Love it,
I will call them tomorrow, I soooo want that $99 nfl
Thanks. :)
Nice deal, you must have held out after their first offer.
I kept telling him he was wasting my time.
Comcast is the enemy that owns NBC and plagues the cable with the continuous propaganda of MSNBC
Really? Way cool.
And the email was the first I knew that those channels were missing. I never noticed.
Same here. Tosh is about the only thing I watch on any of the Viacom channels. Turned out it’s a seven year deal which Viacom got a 20% increase, not the 30% they wanted. In this age of saturation and dilution of entertainment and media I don’t see how they can justify any increase.

Be very attentive with Dish Network billing. We were Dish customers for 6 months and not once was the bill correct....always an overcharge. I spent an hour or more on the phone each month, trying to get it corrected. And ours was a set amount....we didn’t use PPV or anything like that. Thank goodness, I was able to cancel my service with them.
