Alicia Castro tried to pull Argentina's immediate neighbours into the dispute, claiming UK diplomatic and business relations could be damaged if the islands were not handed over to Buenos Aires.
She said Las Malvinas Argentina's name for the Falklands would be better off if they cut their ties with the UK.

Would a stern “No” be enough? If not, carpet bombing of Buenos Aires might certainly suffice.
Argentine Armed Forces were better trained and equipped back in ‘82 compared to what they got right now. Since then, their country went “pacificist” and now they’re demanding the Brits to hand back the islands to them? This time, the Brits are veterans of both Afganistan and Iraq wars. So if there’s a war, this time, it wouldn’t even last 24 hours despite the Brits making considerable cuts in their defense budget.
Hey, hey....that's going a bit too far. I love Buenos Aires and I went there last year. It's far more European than Paris.
...and has the Argentina ambassador asked the islanders what they want?
“Hey, hey....that’s going a bit too far. I love Buenos Aires and I went there last year. It’s far more European than Paris.”
Okay, no carpet bombing. Just winning-hearts-and-minds campaign. wink, wink
Well, I can’t say that’s a very surprising thing....
Southern hemisphere’s just getting into winter now, so if the Argies beat on this little tin pot for support for three or four months, they’ll be able to launch their “Liberation” attacks before there’s anybody in Washington with even the faintest interest pulling the UK’s arse out of this bonfire by sending US troops to do what the Brits can no longer handle.
Might as well cut to the chase and hand the entire bloody South Atlantic over to whatever Banana Republic goofball next decides to have an attack of Napoleon Complex.
(Spit on the ground and walk away)
This is a total distraction from the domestic problems being caused by their socialist policies.
the citizens on the falklands are british and want to remain so. plus falkland defenses are much stronger than ‘82. and omoron would send any support (not as he hates the british) to those ilslands in the indian ocean he nemed in his dumbass speech.
Here’s a funny video that the Argentinian government just released about the Falkland islands:
It’s hard to say who’s right on this one. It makes little sense for the British to have political control over a couple of islands just off the coast of Argentina. They should sell it to the Argentinians for a reasonable price and put this matter to rest.
Yes, winter is setting in and weather around the Falklands is going from the usual bad to down right UHLY!.
“So if theres a war..”
The Argentinians won’t attack. The military is not running their country anymore.
They will stick to psych warfare painting the British as the oppressive, greedy colonial power in the international stage. In the end, the British will probably hand over the islands willingly because they have gone socialist and those islands probably don’t mean that much to them.
...claiming UK diplomatic and business relations could be damaged if the islands were not handed over to Buenos Aires. If Cameron were worth a $h!+, he'd bring the UK ambassador home from Argentina for consultation, and have the rest of the UK diplomatic mission pack up everything, then bring them home and break relations.
Under Prime Minister David Cameron? I doubt it. But surely the next one.
Where is the ‘General Belgrano’ today?
