Apr 11, 2012 Romney Wont Rule Out Romney-Santorum Ticket
WARWICK, R.I. For the second time in as many days, Mitt Romney was quizzed about his potential vice presidential pick during a town hall and declined to rule out a possible Romney-Santorum ticket.
Everybody is on my list, said Romney in answer to a voter who asked whether he would consider former presidential candidate Rick Santorum as his running mate. Everybody is on my list. Im not taking anybody off the list, alright?
But Romney quickly stopped himself backtracking to say that there actually isnt a list of potential vice presidential candidates. At least not yet.
I actually dont, I dont have a list, yet, said Romney. So I cant say someone is on or off my list. But I can tell you that the people who I had the privilege of running against would surely be among those I would consider, said Romney.
The criteria, I think, has to be, first and foremost, is this a person who could be president of the United States, if that were needed? And do people recognize that and see that as a person who has that kind of qualification and so he Ive said this before. If any of the people I ran against happened to become the nominee, I would have endorsed them and supported them for president.
So of course theyd be on that list and he, among others, Romney said of Santorum.

It won’t work. JMO.
I just threw up in my mouth a little. URP!
Ain’t nothing or nobody that execrable lying Socialist fraud can choose that will make me vote for his sorry ass.
How magnanimous of Mr. Willard. (What kind of name is “Mitt” anyway? Sounds like a baseball glove.)
romny is dumb, but he aint that dumb.
Exactly. If Santorum can swing either OH or PA in the red state column, Obama is toast and will energize Evangelical voters
I wouldn’t count on a sensible choice for VP with Romney. I have a hunch that many GOP-e types are convinced that McCain lost in 2008 because he didn’t go with a “safe” moderate, establishment choice. I anticipate an equally insipid GOP-e moderate or liberal VP choice for Romney.
Santorum, Rubio, West...there are quite a few good people he could call upon who would be helpful to his campaign.
Or maybe Huckabee, or McCain. The excitement is killing me!

OOP’S, Whom were you refering to???
Romney needs to carry some key mid-western states. Without OH its game over. He carried OH by under 1%. He won MI by a mere 3% points over Santorum. There’s a good chance that Santorum may bring PA into the red state column. Besides he needs to energize evangelical voters. But most important is that Santorum as VP will be a strong conservative counterbalance to Romney.
Allen West or Santorum would be excellent choices.
That would be as opposed to the execrable Marxist in the White House (the one who doesn’t pretend to be a Republican).
Could they get more boring? We need a strong conservative. He knows that.
And yet Romney makes another STUPID statement.
pfft No he won’t. Santorum was my guy but still wouldn’t vote Romney.

Lemme see now, in order that would be RINOs, Democrats, and the owners of US Treasury Bonds when they try to cash them in.
BTW, what has Romney EVER done to reduce the size of ANY Government?
