Why not, indeed? Perhaps that was the plan all along.

But, seriously, you don’t actually think that Romney would rule out Santorum BEFORE the Pennsylvania primary, do you?

Santorum kicked Romney in the teeth on his way out the door with that speech yesterday. There is some genuinely bad blood between those two right now. I just can’t see this pairing right now. The convention is a very long way off right now. Anything can happen I guess.

This is the wackiest election cycle I can remember. I got a guy running for Senate in PA calling himself a Reagan Conservative that voted for Obummer in ‘08. What a bunch of crap.

Don’t see that happening.
Why would Santorum tie himself to this RINO ??

My theory is that Romney won’t throw conservatives so much as a bone, let alone set his hair on fire. He’s already in Etch-A-Sketch mode.

You write: And yet Romney makes another STUPID statement.

I disagree. He probably will pick a conservative (though probably not Santorum).

Romney has no principles but is a capable politician. He'll make the same calculation McLame did: "I have the RINOs already behind me. The conservatives don't trust me, though, so I need to appease them by picking a running mate from their wing of the party."

How long did it take for you to work through your disappointment when she announced her decision not to run?

In fact, I remember that thread. Many people were terribly upset. In fact, I posted to the harrassers to leave you guys alone. Go look it up.

Have some respect for the feelings of the Santorum supporters. Okay?

On CNN Ticker, it shows Santorum to campaign with Mitt Romney. I guess he needs those debts paid off. Now, if this is true, why in the world would he kiss up to Mittens for after bashing Mitt throughout the primaries as being a faux conservative. Now, the light may shine.

-> There’s a good chance that Santorum may bring PA into the red state column

You need to step away from your Rick poster-he dropped out before the people could vote for him in his home state (says a lot-he wasn't man enough to go through the race maybe)

Why would he campaign for Romney after that scorched earth campaign Mitt waged against Him?

I didn’t mourn Palin’s decision. Being emotionally tied to a candidate isn’t my style, and as to Santorum supporters feelings, I have been sympathetic and suggested some take time off from FR to grieve, and it wasn’t meant as sarcasm, either. I remember you making request of harrassers, I do.

But time is of the essence, and we can’t all stand still. Now is the time for all conservatives to urge their candidates of choice to gather together and present a unified front behind one conservative who is either brave enough to stay in the race or too crazy to get out! It doesn’t matter if you hate the guy, or not. We conservatives must stop squabbling among ourselves and rid the Party of Romniacs.

Romney is a self-professed progressive. That means he is a national socialist, a fascist, if you will.

We must take back our party, and soon.

Sorry.. There is NOTHING Romney can do to energize me to vote for him, or his ticket.

I saw this game play out not but 4 years ago... It’s going to play out the same this time around as well.
